Life / English Girl Marrying Polish guy in Poland [8]

Dear Jounia
From my wedding planning experience let me tell you it's much easier to get married in a registry office in the UK and then only come for the religious part to Poland.

If you'd prefer to stick to your original plan be aware that at least one personal meeting of both of you with the people from the registry office will be necessary. Will you be able to come to Poland a few weeks ahead?

Life / English man is getting married in Poland - Polish Church issue [37]

Hi everyone
I work as a wedding planner in Krakow, Poland so if any of the posted questions still needs answering, I'll be glad to help out.

Generally we have to discriminate two situations - the catholic churches allows marriages of mixed confessions where technically only one person is catholic and only he/she is bound by the sacrament. This is something members of Church of England can participate in easily. A different thing is a sacrament between two catholics when obviously both have to be christianed members of the catholic church and none can be divorced (if the former marriage was a catholic one).
