News / Does Poland count in Europe or is it ignored? [427]

I don't need the Palis to develop an aversion against Israel...

Yes, I noticed this before.

Bring it on. No one can destroy Israel.

You overestimate Israel's political influence.

Actually, I think that the EU turn to be anti-Jewish in the future. All their propaganda effort to convince people that they are actually useful are based on populism. Socialist policy and growing public debt will likely ruin European part of western world and then foolish masses must be provided those "responsible". Economic troubles? Sounds like great opportunity to raise "Jewish problem". European leftist media already conditioning people's brains wisely using "Palestinian issue" to stir antipathy towards evil Zionists. Average ignorants consider Zionists and Jews one and the same people. I don't need to add more.

The EU should become just PR agency, those bureaucrats are already close to perfection in this useful skill. They are more populist than our domestic parasites and thus higher in all possible popularity rankings.

Having this chapter of history covered in debth in the documentation centre might not be in the interest of the Polish government, I would assume.

This is is not correct interpretation of motives of Polish politicians. They talk about Steinbach (who was proved to be a liar by the way) only during election campaigns to attract more voters.

Why do you think that politicians should dig in history? Lets leave interpretation of historic events to historians.

History / Farewell of Slavianka - who is able to understand Poles ? [48]

From a perspective of time, this is indeed fascinating example of how mainstream western media serve as a lapdogs of political establishment. Politicians influenced proper people in media outlets to justify their military aggression. This is OK to bomb innocent civilians from the sky as long as they claim that their motivations are human rights and democracy. This is OK to portray a nation to be some kind of animals as long they are on the other side of barricade. Warmongering and nationalism is fine as long as this is western socialist establishment the one who encourage these primitive behaviours. Sjam, perhaps you have something to say about how your beloved western media performed during Balkan wars?

We are doing, even now, much more than Serbia itself. We will never recognise Kosovo as independent state; though I don' have the same assurance concerning Serbia

This comment contain much of true. Russia will recognize Kosovo right after Serbia.

History / The most influencial socialists leaders in Polish lands? [26]

Well, what would you say is in the Polish national interest, lesser? According to your conception of that term of course.

This term has no meaning. It is used by political propagandists to attract nationally minded voters/supporters. I can think about some non-detailed personal interest of people. Why should it be reduced to nationality? Nationality is a non-issue here.

Collective security was 10 years ago and that's why, rightly or wrongly, Poland joined NATO. The rationale of the EU was also compelling but the national interest is really put to the sword in supranational institutions.

As much I understand that ordinary people may believe that some kind of national interest really exist, I think that mainstream politicians using this expression just play populist card. Call me cynical, but if Polish national interest is to settle the biggest number of Polish speaking bureaucrats in Brussels then I don't give a damn. :)

Forgive my ignorance, my Polish history is sketchy but wasn't it the fault of his successor? I can't remember his name, Smyś or sth like that?

Rydz Śmigły was also responsible but I wouldn't put all fault solely on him.

You didn't appreciate his efforts to integrate people into the vision of a collective state and not exclude or isolate people like the Jews?

I'm a regionalist, he proposed some huge multicultural state in the age of nationalism. There was no such option at that time.

Being in opposition to his political platform is a subjective stance but some of his achievements speak for themselves and we have to see these in an objective light, agreed?

I agree, weakness of Polish state originated also from his socialistic policies. The second Republic ceased to exist short after he passed away. (being replaced by his fellow people). Facts speak for itself.

Still there are policies that ahevn't been removed and Stalin had full control of Poland in the rest of his lifetime, while also having his succesors also control of Poland.

I cannot disagree with you here. Some forms of organization of current Polish state are borrowed from communism. However I think that following such criteria (what lasted, either in people's minds or form of organization of the state) primacy belong to Pilsudski. He is still considered the biggest national hero, represent this destructive Polish political romanticism so visible even in current foreign policy.

Yet I can't see any influence Hitler has done towards Poland wich were really of any importance

National Socialists build some roads which are still used in III RP :)

Neither of both of top socialist leaders succeed on this field. Poles in general were known from their distrust of communism. Stalin himself was aware of this situation. He considered Poles to be aristocratic nation without any hope to improve in near future.

Jean Paul II

The historical experience of socialist countries has sadly demonstrated that collectivism does not do away with alienation but rather increases it, adding to it a lack of basic necessities and economic inefficiency.
Pope John Paul II

Piłsudski as he was in control of the Socialist Party. He influenced many people but, arguably, wasn't the most effective leader as, upon his death, he hadn't met many of his objectives.

Yes I should write in Pilsudski to this poll instead one of modern socialist "leaders". HE was definitely one of the most influential socialists in Polish lands.

However he had no similar power like Stalin or Hitler. I'm not a fun of Pilsudki but he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in this company.

Definatly Stalin, he had most influence on all from that list. During war and after the war

On other hand, Hitler's rule was shorter but more intensive.

LIFE begins at the very first point of CONCEPTION. That is the point where the soul unites with the body

Does atheist Jews in Netherlands often use this expression? Anyway, this is unusual to laugh from own scientific ignorance. You have an interesting personality. :)

And what monarchy? German king and polish princess? Or polish King and german princess???
Must be some mix...

A Catholic monarchy, your wet dream :)

How about electoral-rotational monarchy, when German king dies, Polish one ascends
to the throne and vice-versa

I'm afraid that reign of such kings would not be too long. :)

News / 14 year old rape victim from Warsaw denied abortion! [348]

The ones that I find the scariest are the extreme pro-lifers who kill doctors.

Doctors?? The mission of a doctor is to save human life. Those are human beasts. I could ignore opinion of average person from the street duo to their ignorance of the subject. But such people are well educated and they murder with premeditation. All this abortion lobby is totally money orientated. All their non-scientific lousy philosophy is used just to justify this dirty business. They are no different than National Socialist who made soaps out of human skin.

I don't advocate killing them because in wider perspective this is bad political tactic, fruitless. However this is good if they are afraid of deserved punishment. Old Polish saying state "Nosił wilk razy kilka, ponieśli i wilka". This is easy to kill and it works in both directions.

Pro-abortion lobby could be considered more honest if they would not make such big cash out of this horrific proceeder.

News / Clamping down on Internet gambling in Poland? [11]

This is because people from PO were involved in all these shady lobbing for gabling business. Today they want to sacrifice gambling business in favour of popularity rankings. By targeting gambling they wish to left impression that Chlebowski case doesn't mean that whole party is on their payroll. Anyway this is just another anti-liberal initiative coming from this government.

This is not only stupid move but also totally dishonest. If they would wish to solve supposed problem with hazard they would ban Totolotek (Polish national lottery) in the first place. Of course this is not the case because Totolotek bring a lot of cash to state budget while one-armed bandits are controlled by private sector. This is another example of privileged position of state owned companies.

They demanded the withdrawal of it as they felt it to be unsuitable.

Unsuitable you say? When secrets comes out of the shadow this is always unsuitable! :)

Where is the harm to you in such a decision?

I fully respect home-privacy and the right of parents to bear their children. I oppose state interference.

It's not indoctrination at all.

So, why authors demanded to remove this video from You Tube? Apparently only schoolchildren and activists are allowed to watch it, of course without parents permission.

School should be focused on...

I could not agree more.

News / JEW YOUTH SHOULD CLEAN UP THEIR ACT IN POLAND [420]

Our weakness in the West is born of the fact of so-called 'objectivity.' Objectivity does not exist. The word is a hypocrisy which is sustained by the lie that the truth stays in the middle. No, sir: Sometimes truth stays on one side only.

Oriana Fallaci (if I already mentioned her...)

Whatever :)

I don't see any specific theory here, while I really discussed whole variety of issues on this forum. Give me at least one issue when I referred to religion to justify my claims.

Beside of that, even openly atheist Oriana Fallacci made similar statements.
