Cornwall has always regarded itself as independent anyway..

Same as When i lived in Friesland in north Holland, they had there own dialect and were happy to say they were from Fryslan....

i think this veil debate will lead to racism from some people.

Hopefully not, i'm sure most people here are educated enough to discuss it rationally..

Travel / me in poland :) [37]

I was raised Catholic, can't say i have any faith myself though. I'm sure if some people find religion comforting that's fine. I'm not one of them..

UK, Ireland / Foreigners: Please buy the Irish Land! [49]

we can be neighbours! we can drink irish tea and go swimming in the sea!

Tea would be very civilised, but if you think for one minute i'm going in the cold waters off Cork for a swim, you have another thing coming.. Seeing how my Fathers family live in Tipperary we'd almost be neighbours :)

I declined and spent my money on mountaineering, hang gliding and partying

Nothing wrong with that, i did the same that's why i'm poor... but ultimately happy!! :)

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

I'd like to buy a beautiful old traditional Polish bar and turn it into a London cockney theme pub, with everybody being forced to sing "roll out the barrel" and "down at the old bull and bush"

Free pint of warm ale for every customer.... :-)

Have a great St Georges day to all the English members of the forum.. It is amazing how it is never celebrated much compared with St Patricks Day. Have fun..

UK, Ireland / Happy St Georges Day !! [10]

I don't think at times as patriotic and this country tries to restrict the St Georges Day celebrations so as not to "offend" other minorities...what a load of crap... Still i suppose i have the best of both worlds seeing how my parents were Irish... :)

Have fun Sapphire..
