Work / White-collar / professional IT salaries in Poland [8]

Merged: Salaries in Poland

Can somebody post the salaries (currency doesn't matter, zl, $, etc.) of careers in Poland like lawyer, doctor, teacher, engineer, etc. and does anybody have a good website with a list of these salaries?

Language / A good learning book for Polish [44]

Are these good books for learning polish, has anybody ever used them, I am thinking about getting one or all of them:

Polish: An Essential Grammar (Routledge Grammar) by Dana Bielec

Basic Polish: A Grammar and Workbook (Routledge Grammars) by Dana Bielec )

Intermediate Polish: A Grammar and Workbook (Grammar Workbooks) by Dana Bielec

Which ones should I get. Should I get the two "A Grammar and Workbook" books or just the Essential Grammar one? Should I get all three? Which option will cover everything and will be cost efficient (I don't want to spend to much or get too many books.).

Polish in 4 weeks is pretty good

I am using that now. What is a good follow up book that will get into greater detail of the polish language?

Language / Accusative Case [44]

I know only the masculine animate and the feminite nouns only change but do they have plural endings or do they take the genitive plural endings?

Language / Confused about the Polish Imperative [15]

Is przestań the imperative? Also does both verbs have to be imperative because I am confused because some instances only the first verb is imperative or sometimes both verbs are imperative (daj spokoj?).

Language / Confused about the Polish Imperative [15]

I am confused about the imperative. For example would I say "Przestaj narzekac" or "Przestaj narzekaj"? I need more info on the imperative. Dzienki!

Study / US student on Politechnika Gdańska - will it be hard to survive? [9]

I heard that compared to American universities, the Politechnika is really not that good or that is at least what somebody told me. What is the acceptance rate there and when I graduate high school in the US, what do I have to do when I apply in Gdansk? Will they recognize as high school degree from the us?

I am getting A's in all my science classes (chemistry, biology, physical science) and I am getting A/B's in my Geometry Advance class.

Study / US student on Politechnika Gdańska - will it be hard to survive? [9]

I live in the USA and I am in 10th grade. I am getting very good grades in all my subjects: A's and B's. How hard would it be for me to get into the Politechnika Gdanska? I want to major in naval architecture (that is why I chose Gdansk ;))

Language / Accusative and Genitive Case in Polish [6]

What is the difference between the genitive and the accusative case. I know the endings and the fact that they are used for nouns (with their adjectives) that are the direct object but when do I use what? Thanks.

USA, Canada / Dual Citizenship: American and Polish? [53]

Hi, I am new to this forum and I am liking it so far. Both of my parents were born in Poland and moved to the USA around 1985. Therefore I was born in the us. I want to become a Polish citizen and I am aware if both of your parents are born in Poland, than then the child is already considered a polish citizen. Now what do I have to do to declare my Polish citizenship and obtain a Polish passport. What is the process and how long is the process? Dziekuje!!!!

USA, Canada / Would my Polish degree be worth anything in the US? [14]

What about the Politechnika Gdańska (Technical University of Gdasnk)? If I were to get a degree there, would that be good in the USA?

Also is the Technical University of Gdansk acreddited?
