Does anyone know anyone who has an organic farm in Poland and is this system of farming very popular?

Is boar very popular in Poland and is it very different to Pig? Is "wild boar" really "wild" or is this just marketing?

Love / How do Polish girls like to be approached? [66]

I am a fan of Polish women. I think their looks and personalities are very attractive. I wanted to ask Polish women, what is the best way to approach a Polish girl? I am not really into pubs and clubs and I believe this is not ideal place anyway to meet someone. Some of the comments on other threads say that you are a stalker or weird if you try to talk to Polish girls on train or in public. In some countries, there is a lot of drink involved before people will talk to each other. In other countries, you have to wait for your family to make arrangements for you.

But can Polish girls, please tell me what is polite and romantic way for a man to introduce himself to you if he is interested in you?

UK, Ireland / United Kingdom versus Ireland - which one better to live? [19]

Ireland. I worked in London as an immigrant for a few years but was delighted to return to Dublin. I think Poland is very warm and friendly place also. Thats why I think Irish and Polish get on well together.

Feedback / Forum suggestion: What about Polonia - Ireland? [65]

I dont want to make a big deal about this. Its just that I believe in respecting other peoples and their cultures and traditions. In Ireland, we welcome hundreds of thousands of immigrants in last few years when other countries did not open their borders.

I am just asking that the Republic of Ireland be given the respect it deserves like any other country and not including it in a category for UK which is wrong. I believe the people of Ireland have earned the right to be recognised.

Imagine the following heading:

Polonia Germany - Including discussions on UK, Poland and Germany
Polonia USA - Including discussions on USA & Canada

A lot of people would not be very happy with that. Similarly, as an Irishman, I think Ireland should be represented correctly in the forum and to make the relevant change is only fair and appropriate. Mr. Administrator, I ask you to review again and to please make appropriate changes.

Feedback / Forum suggestion: What about Polonia - Ireland? [65]

If a section was called 'Polonia - Ireland', would it show up in web-searches and thererfore possibly bring more people in?

You are right. That is a very good point.

Other sources would estimate that there are more like 100k Polish living in Ireland. From being in Poland, there is a lot of interest from Polish about living and working in Ireland.

Scotland, England, Wales make up the United Kingdom.

The Republic of Ireland is a totally separate country. You might as well be saying the "USA & Ireland". Or similarly, it would be like including Poland under a heading for Germany which I dont think would go down very well. Both are sovereign and independent countries. If we cannot have our own section, include us in Other Countries, if you really have to. But please not part of the UK. This is just incorrect.

But I hope you will give us a separate section for Ireland. Can I also recommend some good websites for Polish interested in Ireland, vaveeva.com and myireland.pl.

Real Estate / Can I buy a small farm in Poland? [49]

have you found a property yet babylon - how did/are you going about sourcing...?

Havent found a farm yet. To be honest, like a lot of foreigners, I have only been to major centers in Poland, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk. I have been to Zakopane a few times and love the mountains. I am open to suggestions about what would be a good area to look at. Next time I go to Poland, I would like to go out the countryside and see some of the non-tourist Poland. So suggestions are very welcome. Maybe, somewhere rural in the south oor South East of Poland?

We have hundreds of thousands of Polish people in Ireland. They are all very welcome and we are delighted they are here.

So guys, why not a "Polonia - Ireland" section? Ireland is not part of the UK, it is a separate country. It has been a Republic now for a long time. Like Poland, our country has struggled for many years to be independent and to take control of our own destiny. So please Mr. Administrator, give us our own section for the thousands of Polish people that are in Ireland and respect us as our own sovereign country.

Real Estate / Can I buy a small farm in Poland? [49]

Edited that one for you.

Very funny! But not everyone from Ireland is a developer. In any case, I have nothing against someone who wants to invest in a property and make some money. Like it or not, thats the way the world works at the moment. I myself, am not a big fan of the current system.

It does seem like a crazy world where Polish people come to Ireland to work and Irish like myself have to think about going all the way to Poland to have a little farm. What people fear in Poland has already happened in Ireland. Developers, easy mortgages, low interest rates have meant that owning your home or having some land is a dream of only the rich. In todays world, we think we are free but we really work for big multinationals to earn money and then the bank really owns our house for most of our lives. In this case, I really just want to have a little farm and it is not about the money.

In some ways, it is good the we experience part of each others countries. The Polish have been most welcome in Ireland. In fact, I think our country is a better place because they are here. When we Irish go to Poland, we learn a lot about Polish also. The Irish have spent many years abroad as emigrants so we now have similar tradition in common.

Real Estate / Can I buy a small farm in Poland? [49]

I read that, depending on the area in Poland, I can buy a farm after leasing it for 3 years or 7 years. I am not sure though if this lease needed to begin before Poland joined the EU i.e. May 2004??

How difficult is it to get a permit I wonder? People say that there are always ways around these things. Maybe, because I only want a small amount of land for farming purposes, it might be a possibility.

there are legal ways to buy land and houses in poland without the required permits

Do you know someone who can give me advice on this?

Real Estate / Can I buy a small farm in Poland? [49]

I am from Ireland and it is my dream to own a small farm; a house with 10 or 20 hectares of farmland. The prices in Ireland are so crazy that you would need to be a millionaire to buy a small farm. When can EU nationals buy farms in Poland? I thought it was 2016 but then I read some of the emails which suggest that it will be sooner.

Or how difficult is it to get a permit to buy a farm now? thanks for any help. I choose Poland because I really like the country and I have been there several times to visit.
