UK, Ireland / Another Polish Girl Dead in Glasgow [17]

I was born and raised near an Amish community in Pennsylvania. They are a group of wonderful people who want to be able to live their lives the way they wish. This murderer who sought out these children knew that this school was isolated and that he could in turn have time to put his plan in action.

Travel / 1st time in Poland [78]

Apparently you also live in the states so you must be one of those unhealthy Americans who just follow the crowd. Stop putting everyone into the same category you can't speak for all of us.

Travel / 1st time in Poland [78]

Wujeck, just a little curious have you ever been to the states, or does most of your knowledge of it come from the internet. It would seem that you think Poland is the only country on this earth which is worth living in, why not adventure out into this big bad world before subjecting all of us to your arrogant opinions

Life / Retire in Poland - Good or Bad Idea? [74]

My grandfather came to the states from a small village in Poland. He worked very hard all of his life, raised 6 sons, 2 daugjhters(all by the way graduated from college and in turn had very good postions themselves.) He bought a home and was very respected in his community. My point is I take offense to the comment about his not knowing any better and trying to boast about their good fortune to family back in their homeland. Maybe, a few reacted that way but I am sure most didn't.

Life / Living in Poland without working? - Your opinion [63]

$12000-$16000 is considered to be poverty level in the states and these people earning that type of money find it very difficult to live on this amount, let alone raise a family.

Polonia / Polish slaves in Italy [9]

Let me reassure you that there are no Mexican slaves in the states. They choose to come here and do whatever work yhey can find. If they aren't happy with the situation they may go back across the border at any time. Rest assured alot of Americans of all different nationalities wouldn"t be to upset.

Food / is" kaszanka" a Polish speciality? [54]

Growing up on the east coast at certain times of the year my family always enjoyed Kiszka-is this basically the same type of sausage. I know that my Grandfather use to refer to it as blood sausage. If so, you can't seem to find it in California. Hope to be going home soon to Pennsylvania so I will be able to enjoy some good Polish food. Just because we are the third generation here doesn't mean we don't enjoy the foods from our culture
