2. Poland's National Convergence Strategy for 2007-2013.

Under the current convergence policy, 85.5 billion Euro has been earmarked for Poland; which includes 67.3 billion Euro from the EU budget - the remaining 18.2 billion will come from the Polish state budget.

The funds come from the European Regional Development Fund, Cohesion Funds, and European Social Fund. Their purpose is to level out developmental and economic difference between Poland and its regions with the "old" EU.
The EU has left it to the national government in Poland to manage and administer the funds.

I would say without the funds from the EU you couldn't hope to achieve what you want to...
It needs much more than just 25 cents...

No! If more people realised it, they might become anti-EU.

Well...I for one would like to know the math what makes 25 cents from 67 Billions!
And especially why Poland doesn't need those funds actually...or even would be better off without it...

It doesn't mean that I would become anti-EU, just that we maybe could save the money and
spend it somewhere else...who really needs it...

You play football and other sports in the EU, you take part in our festivals...all because we are so generous to allow you in as you are unable to play nice with your neighbours.

The military hardware you get is made in Germany too...I can't hear any "turkish" complaints when you want to get your greedy fingers on quality military hardware like our u-boats or our fregats.

Not to mention all the new wishes of reparations - it's not Turkey you are begging.

What a loser you and your people are...you NEED the EU because without our patience you would be totally isolated and probably not existent already, but we could live very well without you and have much better relationships with potential arab tradingpartners!

I don't need the Palis to develop an aversion against Israel...they give a bad image all alone by themselves.

But if the EU does make a u-turn on Israel one time, that will only be a problem for Israel.

Lemme guess...how many nukes are needed? 2? 3? Not more, you are tiny and you have not many big towns...sure, you will retaliate but a huge country like...say...Iran will survive anything you can throw at them, but there won't be many Israelis left standing...

Would Poland really better off outside? Economically? Politically?
Would Poland count as much outside the frame of the EU?

Most of the Poles don't think so...as I said, Torqi should take it to the media and inform the people! :)

Do Norwegian krone or Swiss franc lose that much because
Norway and Switzerland are outside EU?

Do you put Poland in the same league as Norway with it's oil or the Swiss with it's banks???

A better hint for reality would be looking eastwards, there you have countries outside of the EU...without it's support...

Tell me, weren't the results a little bit dissapointing (to put it very, very mildly)?

It would be MUCH worse without all the helpl, Torq!

I acknowledge that and don't assume Eastern Germany would be better off without all this support, I would be an idiot!

My main point is that regardless of currency fluctuations or foreign subsidies,
the well-being of any nation depends in 99,9% on the resourcefulness, intelligence
and hard-work of its people.

It's abit more complicated than that Torq, and you should know it.
Or do you see Poland as without resources, dumb and lazy just because they were most of the time dirt poor?

Thank you for agreeing with me that the success of a country depends on more factors than just resources, intelligence or hard work.

A country needs peace and a frame work which rewards intelligence and hard work....and alot of investments to build the needed infrastructure...for that the EU is better than anything else (and alot better as doing it all on your own).

I've seemed to get only the wrong info about Poland till '89...:(

Take all the subsidies from us completely or give us
twice as much as you're giving now, and it won't make that much heck of a difference.

The reality is that we are in EU, we will receive some subsidies
and we will, eventually, grow filthy rich (and that, I wish to Poland and all other
EU countries in the coming New Year 2010 :)).

Some ideas made it now to a plan...hmmm....

This memorandum is an elaboration of Generalplan Ost.

I'm sure there were alot of ideas floating around...one of them was Hitler asking Pilsudski for an alliance before the war broke out...

My opinon? His mind detoriated with the time...the Hitler from '43 wasn't anymore the one from '33...every brain he had he lost somewhere inbetween.

Once a smart politician he became something else...and as people and officers woke up it was
hard to go against the loyalty they had sworn to the sane man...

It's hard to explain what happened otherwise..
