Life / what is the best bank to open an acount in Poland [12]

I have Inteligo (PKO BP) and it's ok for me. They have many cashpoints (I would make a guess that PKO BP and Pekao SA have the largest number of cashpoints in Poland). I can buy insurance via their online web system. Many online shops provide you 'Place z inteligo' payment option which make payment fast and easy. I like Inteligo account online system, because it's clear, simple and functional.... well, I would recommend Inteligo in PKO BP.

UK, Ireland / How expensive is living in UK/London for one person? [23]

Manchester is a far nicer city than London, much friendlier and a cheaper and sarlaries are comparable - lots of southerners moving here because there is plenty of work and you get more for your money, plus the night life is the best :)

Well, thanks for info, so I will also consider Manchester :)

btw, what do you think about moving to UK in winter? Some things has changed, and probably I will be thinking about moving somewhere (Warsaw or UK) at the end of a year or in first months of 2008 .... my friends keep telling me that this is bad idea to move somewhere in winter, because there aren't many jobs during the winter season. I'm not sure if they're right, because I won't be looking for season related job, and in IT (in most cases) it isn't important if we have summer, winter or whatever.

UK, Ireland / How expensive is living in UK/London for one person? [23]

Hi - the web site linked beow provides basic cost of living guidelines for London. I presume you have looked into our tax system and know roughly how much of your proposed salary will be taken away from you.

Well, yes, I've already made some calculations including taxes and similar things, but anyway thanks for your willing to help and another useful link.

From where? I live in the US and I've never heard people wanting to leave because of the Mexicans...really, it sounds rediculous.

No, no, no... I didn't mean that American leaves because of Mexicans, but only that you have problems with many illegal immigrants from Mexico :-)

Work / University professor salary in Poland? [16]

Just keep in mind that in Lublin salaries are a bit (sometime even more than a bit) lower than in most big Polish cities.

Travel / Visit to Kazimierz Dolny , Poland [14]

Any special things I can see while being there?

Well, when you get bored, you can always visit Lublin, it's only about ~50km from Kazimierz. I make this distance by bike every summer, so it's not so far (but there are also buses which can take you to Lublin) :)

Prices are medium high (when comparing to Lublin for example, but like sb said before... Kazimierz it's rather tourists' town so that kind of prices are normal).

Oh, and there is also Naleczow, but I'm not sure if it will be interesting for you, for me it isn't... but I was there so many times so my opinion is subjective.

Can somebody tell me what kind of English she is talking? I'm really serious... is it popular form which use American teenagers now? Sth similar to ours 'koffam' (kocham), 'piffko' (piwo/piwko), 'bossh' or 'boshe' (boże) and so on? I must admit it's a bit annoying,

News / EU or America - which country is better to work now? [56]

Forget about the ills of what is going on in GB/USA and come down under!

Sounds good, thanks for your post. First I want to make real money in Europe and set some business. Then i will move to Australia. That's my plan :)

Well, we should define 'real money' first. Take a look at salaries for guys with CCNP + experience:

not bad for me... enough to start business in Poland after a year with good salary in UK.
