Real Estate / Room for one person in Bródno District [8]

FredChopin

I think Wroclaw is saying it is a rip off. You could get the same apartment without the creepy son for the same money.

Yes, I'm aware of the situation. But, the point is that I'm not Polish, so I cannot speak Polish. It's not so easy to search for new flats. Besides, it's been one week since I came here. I don't know many people around here yet.

Real Estate / Room for one person in Bródno District [8]

I'm not still paying for anything. Honestly, I got the same sentiments. If their son does shopping for me, that's OK. I can pay that price. Their son is quite introverted as well as his father. He doesn't talk to me unless I talk to him. Conversely, his mother is such a cute and nice lady.

Real Estate / Room for one person in Bródno District [8]

Hello;

Although the flat is in Bródno, you can get to the city center by just one tram. Number 4 or 1. It takes about 30mins. I need to take a piece of advice. There's a small room for one person in a flat. Flat is fully furnished, actually fully equipped. There's cable TV and internet. You should share the flat with the son of the landlord. The size of the room that you should live is about 10-15 m^2. You can use the other rooms of course, but you should sleep in that room. And the price for that one person is 1200zl.

What do you think about the price pondering the circumstances?

Anyone else would like to make a comment?

Life / Wonderful Poland.......but the attitude of Polish people [150]

Well, it can be a temperament more than an attitude. However, what I observed that Poles don't want to debate over almost anything. Or, they want to wrap up some deep conversations as soon as possible. I don't why. Even at once upon a time, we're drawn into debates taking longer than we expect.

Do you mean name day celebrations are as ordinary as other usual celebrations such as birthday, wedding anniversary, etc?

Life / macbook prices in poland [12]

Bydgoszczanin When I was shopping for a MacBook last year, I found the best price in Saturn

As was in Gdansk, it was known that Saturn's prices were quite high. Maybe it is, but for the macbook, however it's a bit surprising that you found the best price there.

Life / macbook prices in poland [12]

mylesgThat's $400 to $500 more than the US, I wonder why?
I guess it's like vodka. Vodka is cheaper in where they're produced than other countries. Such as Poland, Russia, etc.

Wroclaw BoyThe botom of the range new mac book retails for 5899 PLN. generally more expensive here. the old versions white or black were on special offer last time i checked till they sell out for just under 4000 PLN.

IS there online list that I can check other alternatives.

Life / macbook prices in poland [12]

I'm thinking of buying a macbook in Poland. Since September 28th, I'll begin to live in Warsaw. I'd better be aware of the prices of macbooks. For sure it depends on model of the computer. However, right off the top of my head, how much would they cost?

Study / Spanish lessons in Gdynia/Gdansk [2]

As long as I was an erasmus in Gdansk, I knew many Spanish who were erasmus as well. I studied at the Gdansk University of Technology (Polistechnika Gdanska) . Their ESN (Erasmus Student Network) community is very well known in Gdansk. They are one of the hard workings in Poland. They have good connections, especially with Spain. Besides, some of my Polish friends take part the spanish courses at the universty. In fact, they are already students of the GUT. I suggest you to contact ESN of the GUT.

Work / Salary of 3500 pln without tax deduction [8]

I was an erasmus student in Gdansk, September 2008 to June 2009. For sure your circumstances are different from mine. However, I was granted with 300€ per month. I did many many marvelous stuffs with this money, just as a student. I guess 3500 pln is really great.
