I used to be in a relationship with a violent boyfirend. I don't want to go into detail about what used to happen but eventually I flipped and gave him the biggest fright of his life. Unfortunately, there are men and women who do not get to that stage and do not find the anger and confidence to defend themselves. If it's a regular occurrence there's obviously something seriously wrong with the relationship and it's time to move on.

Hasn't it? One of the main reasons why homosexuality has come out in the open recently is mainly due to lack of influence that the church has in society. Have you noticed that wherever the church is powerful, homosexuality is frowned upon?

So, how do you know that it hasn't occurred naturally? I'd love to know

It is a fact that welsh medium schools outshine their english medium counterparts. I attended Ysgol gyfun Cwm Rhymney and the individual attention we were given by teachers and the facilities and the general level of education was unrivalled in the area. We were more disciplined and dedicated than the 'English' students and also better at rugby. Its probably because we felt unique within that community and we all had a sense of solidarity

Did you? That's interesting, I went to Ysgol Gyfyn Gwyr in Swansea ;)

Welsh schools are way better than English, they do not publish their league table results and there is a whole different attitude to learning anyway

Yes, this is true in the Welsh language schools where the emphasis is definitely on the child's learning, there also seems to be a lot less disruption in class also. Compare with the English language schools where many children get lost in the system.

It depends. The English medium schools are on par with English schools, but the Welsh medium/bilingual schools achieve a 20% better pass rate (on average)

As for gays, I would rather be in a nightclub full of them than in a nightclub full of straight men any day. Most of the gays that I know are straight acting and wouldn't ever consider touching up a straight man, unless of course they had good reason to believe that the other guy was curious.

I want to know what `smell gay` actually means? Erm, let me re-phrase that - no I don't! I know loads of gays in the UK and none there would say anything like this so I suspect that this is someone being silly.
