USA, Canada / Why Americans think that nobody likes them? [185]
I really hope there is! Europe is essentially recovered from its recent past. I would love nothing better than to see it assert itself on the world stage again. Bosnia and even the recent Somalian pirate situation lead me to believe that they do not yet have the will to be a real force in the world yet. Maybe it is a lack of self-confidence?
I dont make Polish jokes. I have a facination with the Polish people, I want to learn their opinions, and I want to share mine. I want to know why my family left. I want Polish to be my third language, out of respect for my ancestors. You can never offend me with your opinion, regardless if yours supports, opposes, or is irrelevant to mine. You have a right to it, always.
With the exception of the Poles and Brits they were a few miles behind us if I recall.
Hivemind, manipulative statement. WMD was a small part. I do however know that it had more to do with economic warfare against the U.S. (Think oil bourse with Euros as the currency) Dangerous for us and eventually even more so for Europe. It was a stated goal in UBL's letter to America. (Can you believe he called us America? Where the hell was he edumacated?) To disclose it at the time would have created a panic in the markets. Anyways, We created Saddam, It was our responsibility to clean up our mess.
A lot to admire and respect about them. No doubt. I'm not sure there won't be another Renaissance for them either.

if Americans think that Polish people don't like them then what good does it bring if they come to this forum and whinge about it? i don't go on US forums and cry about yanks telling jokes about the Poles. it's a bit silly.

When the US went into Afghanistan to fight the Taliban and get Bin Laden, most nations were behind you.
