Granted. I just tend to take issue with the use of the word "liberated" here. Somehow I just can't see how conquest through genocide, massive deportations, and later the installation of puppet governments is in any way a "liberation." Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying the U.S. hasn't used similar tactics. It's just that I have a hard time understanding how you could say anyone liberated Poland, especially the Russians.
I was saying that it wasn't America that liberated Poland (previously stated by Tork).

Lol, I heard about that. Even once read an article that claimed "Germany will soon speak Russian" ( news.mail.ru/politics/2289528 I'm not studying the Russians, though. ;)
You could claim german citizenship...many russian-germans did it...they had not much more connection!

So, I'm doing my concentration on the history of Poles in Germany. Are there any Poles here currently living in Germany? Or any descendants of Poles who migrated to Germany, for example Ruhr Poles? If yes, respond to this thread, PM me, or email me (email's on my profile; just click the link)

Genealogy / What region of poland is my family from? [27]
Love that site 8) I search random names there all the time. :D Though they show my name as being most popular in Lodz, when I know for a fact my ancestors were from Kroscienko nad Dunajcem. :P Though Nowy Sacz does show up as the fourth city, which is a lot closer to Kroscienko n/D than Lodz, Zgierz, and Warsaw. =P So just be careful with what you find on that site...remember that just 'cuz Lodz and Warsaw might show up as having the most people with your name, doesn't mean that's necessarily where your family came from. There are a lot of people in those cities, so naturally there will be more people with one name there. ;)

And according to a study by the Center for Economic and Policy Research found that a full 25% of Americans don't get any paid vacations or holidays whatsoever. I know I certainly don't get any paid days-off. =P And quite frankly, I find your 26 unimaginable. ;)

If he's even real at all... I think this may have just been a joke thread to see what kind of reaction he'd get. Perhaps some sort of social experiment? Because I really don't know anyone who would brag openly about being an illegal immigrant...even an American...especially an American. =P
