UK, Ireland / Modern Plantation for Poles in Ireland [352]

Hi all,

I am sure you are well aware of the modern Polish plantation of Ireland taking place at present. Polish shops are the norm here now. Indeed, some uppity poles called for their language to be the official third language of my country.

Anyway, I am interested in the number of polish in Ireland? The CSO claims there is 63,000, the Minister for Integration claims there is 200,000 and the Polish community claims there is 500,000! It is a crazy situation and it seems nobody has a clue. So I ask the polish community, just how many poles are in Ireland?

Yes, they set up a campaign. As I said, its a plantation.

Ironside

Fianna Fail, the mass immigration party, do not care about the working class Irish. They only care about the builders, bankers, farmers, and big businesses.

Our present Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, decided to open up our labour market to the eastern europeans after the first rejection of the nice treaty. He wrote to his eastern european counterparts stating this. Penace for rejecting the treaty at the first time of asking if you will. Now, at the time he was unaware if the UK was going to allow eastern europeans free access to their labour market. Hes a lucky boy they did!

Before we voted on Nice2 we where told it was xenophobic to think we would get many people immigrating here from eastern europe and Ireland was littered with poster campaigns depicting poor eastern european children as propaganda for a yes vote.

The Irish people never voted for this. Indeed,2/3s of Irish citizens want stricter immigration controls regarding eastern europeans(source Irish Times).

We do not have to leave the EU, instead we should adopt a similar attitude to eastern european immigration as Germany and Austria. Opt out of the free movement of labour principle regarding the ten accession states. There are clauses available, so this is possible. We should then issue a work permit scheme.

The level of immigration from Poland into Ireland is the equivalent of 1,600,000 Irish people, one third of our population, immigrating to Poland in a three year period. Sheer lunacy.

Here,"The plantations changed the demography of Ireland by creating large communities with a British and Protestant identity. These communities effectively opposed the interests of the earlier inhabitants, who had an Irish and Roman Catholic identity. The physical and economic nature of Irish society was also changed, as new concepts of ownership, trade and credit were introduced. These changes led to the creation of a British Protestant ruling class, which secured the authority of Crown government in Ireland during the 17th century".

Substitute british for polish etc and you will understand where I am coming from.

Sinn Fein used to,before mass immigration, but now their leader, the bearded one Gerry Adams, claims "they are all Irish whether here for four months or 400 years".

Politicians are afraid to open their mouths on this issue as they get labelled as xenophobic by the media. So all debate on the issue is stiffled.

Thousands of poles signed the petition for their language to be the third recognised language of the Irish nation.

No they are a 32 country movement. They are performing terribly in the south, largely due to their stance on mass immigration.

I am serious. Deadly serious. It is a plantation, look it up in the dictionary. "An original settlement in a new country; a colony". I view mass immigration from Poland as a plantation, most will stay here, setting up their own communities, schools, social outets, and shops, a mini Poland in Ireland.

I am not bitter and I fail to see how this "is good" for the Irish nation. The only people who benefit from mass immigration are big businesses and the immigrants themselves. The working class and lower middle class pay for the social costs.

This is a public forum and I signed up to see things from a Polish perspective, I am not here to troll or to be disrespectful. I have been civil to everyone I debated with thus far and will continue to be so.

pretty cock up are you? are you feel threaten?

No I do not feel threatened, should I?

How would you feel if 1,600,000 Irish people immigrated to Poland over a three year period?

Yes Sir

Anti Irish propaganda. They are treated well, in fact the Irish media loves telling us how the poles are better looking, better educated, better workers, and oh so lovely and great. They also created the Celtic Tiger, apparently.

What ********? There is only one Provisional Sinn Fein, it is a 32 county movement. Why are you refering to Ireland in partitionist terms, north and south?

I am a minority in the area of West Dublin I reside in. Poles are the majority. It has been turned into a Polish colony.

Prove this hard fact please!

Sending 1.5 billion home per year.

20% of dole claimants are foreign nationals. Thats 204 per person per week ,many of the poles.minimum.

Cost of teaching immigrants english exceeds 126 million per annum.

Massive welfare fraud committed by foreign nationals.

90 million on child benefits for children not residing in the state per annum

25% of jailed criminals are foreign nationals. It costs 100,000 euro per inmate

150 million being claimed in rent supplements per annum

Most of the immigrants are used as cheap labour, therefore pay little tax as they are on minimum wage(or lower).

More Irish on the dole due to displacement.

Now take into consideration the costs of educating foreign children, costs of healthcare, etc etc etc.

Prove they are a net benefit on the economy. Now, take in to account that 38% of workers in Ireland pay no P.A.Y.E. tax. That includes a substantial proportion of the Irish population beyond foreigners, it must be acknowledged. Not only that, but when one factors in Children Allowance [not to mention Medical Card, Council House, Unemployment Benefit/Assistance etc. etc. ], an even greater proportion of the population are effective net beneficiaries of public largess. Which means middle-to-high income earners. Who pays?

There is one Sinn Fein, partitionist. There is not South Sinn Fein and Nordie Sinn Fein. Look his may be hard for you to comprehend, but maybe the voters in the south have different concerns than those in the north, so maybe Sinn Fein have to have different policies in each area?

Remember my words, in 10-12 years time there will be hardly any Poles in Ireland.

I think you are wrong. At present the poles are our largest minority and it needs to be tackled, a further 11,000 poles applied for PPS numbers in Ireland in the first five months of the year. They are still coming here. They do not belong here and they never will.

A plantation-An original settlement in a new country; a colony.

That is what is happening at present in many parts of Ireland, massive numbers of poles moving into areas and becoming the majority and completely changing the landscape. The Polish Embassy in Ireland claims there is up to 500,000 poles here. There are 3,700,000 Irish citizens here. We will be a minority in our own land at this rate!

I opposse plantations whether they be Protestant or Polish.

Are you not familiar with the Irish Property Bubble? The whole Irish economy was based on building cavity blocks from one end of the country to another.

It is one of the main reasons why Fianna Fail, the mass immigration party, allowed free access of our labour market to eastern europeans. Their buddies needed cheap labour to build said cavity blocks and to live in them.

It was a false economy and a myth that we needed anyone. Import people, and give them jobs to build houses for them to live in. Madness. All the while, the native Irish worker pays the social cost. Wages being driven down, conditions deteriorating, job displacement, not the mention the strain on the welfare bill, and mini Polands being created in every part of the country.

Fianna Fail, the mass immigration party, are finished, They are on their last legs. My work is done in that respect.

Now, my next challenge is to repatriate those involved in the present plantation of my country.

I did not lose my job. I am happily employed. I am not into white nationalism and Neo Nazism so I will not go to Stormfront, a lot of poles seem to be,mind.

Also, why are a lot of Poles so vulgar. I fail to see the need for it.

The Irish people(66%) want stricter immigration controls on people from the accession states, are they xenophobic too? Of course not.

An article here states that many migrants are staying on in Ireland even when becoming unemployed.

There was a particular acceleration in the unemployment rate among immigrants for much of last year, especially among those from the eastern EU accession states, such as Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.

A significant proportion who have lost their jobs are remaining here, according to new research. Mr Barrett says this could be explained by "market conditions abroad", but he has also said that "welfare entitlements" here may also be playing a role.

Good then, so we agree. Repatriate the poles. You can join our campaign as many are now milking the labour system. I welcome any member of the 15 "old" european states to Ireland, as they do not move to Ireland in such vast numbers, unlike the eastern europeans. We also owe these people for accepting our people in to their countries during the famine, again, unlike the eastern europeans.

We owe eastern europeans nothing, nada, zilch, feck all. They are no friends of the native Irish.

ZIMMY

I do not care what that fat foook thinks of Ireland or its people. We are in no way similar. Churchill sent the black and tans in to Ireland to exterminate local civilians during the War of Independence. He should have been sentenced for war crimes for that, not to mention Dresden.

I am here to learn from my enemies perspective. If, and indeed when, the Indian,Nigerian,Chinese population in Ireland reaches similar levels of Polish immigration they will then feel my scorn too.

As I said, I oppose all plantations.

You should find a party or build one with program you deem right and then test it - election.
You on the other hand come to PF claiming that immigration of Poles is a plantation - which is nonsense- and then blame Poles for going to Ireland, another nonsense.

Already done.

I blame the government, they will be removed from power and resigned to history after the next general election. I am not worried about them anymore.

Next we need to remove the eastern europeans as they are our largest minority and are becoming a burden on the state. The majority of whom are staying in Ireland and many are going on the dole. Yet, 11,000 more came in the first five months of this year alone. Probably ten times more than the whole Irish population of Poland!

Torq

The Polish community of Ireland and indeed the Polish embassy claims there are up to 500,000 Poles here. There is no way the 3rd worlders make up such numbers. Stop lying.

You may laugh your ass all you want, the fact is the Irish people are now viewing the Polish planters as enemies. They had to fight against them for employement in the past, now they have to fight against them again to get a share of the social welfare.

What does that have to with anything? Did the native Americans benefit from mass immigration to their country? No they did not.

Ireland is an idigenous country with our own unique culture and traditions. America is a mish mash of nations and one hundred and fifty times larger than Ireland so of course it can absorb much more immigrants. You are not comparing like with like.

Also, more Polish have emigrated to America over the centuries than Irish people. I am sick to death of Poles using this as an excuse for their presence in my country. "But you Irish went to America". Yes we did as we where being ethnically cleansed by "famine". Is there a famine in Poland? When my ancestors were eating grass and Poland was one of the wealtiest nations at the time, what did your ancestors do to help. Fooook all.

I believe we should pay back that compliment by returning the favour. We owe Poles nothing. Do not believe media lies, we are not "friends". The Irish people have always oppossed foreign plantations. This shall be no different.

From the early 1800's to the beginning of World War II, approximately 5 million Polish immigrants came to the United States. The Poles fled their country for various reasons. Some emigrants left to escape conscription, others left to seek better opportunities in America, and some fled from religious persecution.

nhs.needham.k12.ma.us/cur/kane98/kane_p3_immig/Poland/Polish.html

An investigation carried out in 1978 revealled that since 1820 over 4,723,000 people emigrated to the United States from Ireland.

As Americans think being Irish is trendy. Saint Patricks day and all that. The most recent American census was done near the end of March. A week or so after Saint Patricks day.

American are walking maths equations. They claim to be 1/8 Irish, 1/16 French and all other sorts of nonsense.

It will be a sad day for Ireland when our population resorts to the same.
