Genealogy / Monika Pawlak. Adopted from Poland (Poznan). Help me? [6]

I sent you a private message. Hopefully you got it okay.. Send me a reply, when you get a few free minutes.

Do you have any more information about your background ?

Maybe an age range, for your biological mother and father ?

I'll do a little searching on Nasza-Klasa, to see if I can find anything that stands out.

chat later....

I did a search for Edmund Pawlak in PoznaƄ - 4 results.

But I see you already posted a message on his page (profile).

Did Edmund get back with you ? Did you get a reply ?

If not, maybe the possibility exists, that Edmund does not speak or understand "english." Maybe he doesn't understand the significance of your message.

I found your profile on Nasza-Klasa....

I'm glad to hear you successfully completed your search for your family - and found them.

USA, Canada / OBTAINING POLISH CITIZENSHIP (living in the USA). Petition documents? [28]

I was born in Poland, but was adopted (by American citizens) from an orphanage in Poland, when I was almost 2 years old.

Does this mean I am still a Polish citizen ? Would I have dual citizenship ?

Who would I need to contact in Poland, to clarify my status ?

I have old copies of my Polish birth certificate and some court documents, related to my adoption.

Life / Will the Central Address Office in Poland agree to forward a short note ? [2]

Does anybody know if the Central Address Office will forward a short note (from me), to someone I am trying to make contact with in Poland ?

A note (from me) that I would like to accompany the request by the Polish government, for permission to forward this person's mailing address (to me).

I would like to include a very short message. Type-written, perhaps 7 or 8 sentences. The letter would also give the person (I am trying to make contact with) a couple other options to get in contact with me, if they prefer not to give out their personal address.

The letter also say they also have the options of getting in contact with me via Nasza-Klasa or Facebook.com - It would also include my e-mail address.

The letter I send, would not be sealed in any envelope. The Central Address Office could clearly read what my message says.

I live in the United States, but the person I am trying to contact, probably does not know this. If they are reluctant to give out their address, I would like to give them other options for us to communicate.

What do you think ?
