It's too late for all that. America will always be multicultural. It's been that way for hundreds of years. Europe is multicultural too, but in seperatist soap bubbles that momentarily mingle, then seperate once again.

The least multicultural is Asia.

I don't have a problem with multiculturalism myself. That doesn't worry me since America has always been multicultural. It's the American way because we have so many who are here because their grandparents or someone further generations back moved here from elsewhere. What concerns me more than immigration is imperialism.

Seanus, I doubt you have anything to worry about. People in US or Europe most likely will never approve of the consumption of either dogs or cats.

They were certainly willing to try out foods from other cultures, that's for sure.

I read they prepared food in ways that are very different from what most of us are used to.

Heck, in some primitive places they still eat people.

Some people think eating animals's just as bad.

That's true. They picked up local delicacies as they went along. So I suppose they were multicultural in a way.

Om gosh the Romans were the most multicultural of all!!! They were truly so. Only problem was, they had too many slaves and not enough citizens. By today's standards, they would be judged as oppressive slave owners.

Yes and parrots and flamingos...

They had food from the places they conquered, like Egypt. They also imported animals for their circuses from these locales too. They must have been attracted to flamboyant birds adorned with ornate, colorful feathers. Seems like a Flamingo would be a skimpy meal, tho.

However, around the world different countries eat different meats.

Romans used to eat mice.

I expect low-lifes like the Taliban to do that.

Taliban used to dig holes in the center of stadiums to put people in so they could stone them to death. Chinese put bodies of dead prisoners on display in US cities, to show off different organ systems inside the human body. They said they agreed to donate their bodies to science before they were executed.

Do you honestly think they care? They use people for organs what do they care if they eat a dog? LOL, it's China, not US or Europe.

That's because they are immigrants. Asian immigrants do better in American society than certain groups from elsewhere, Mexico, for instance.
What I am talking about is China taking over the world. Not the same as a few emigrating each year. Take a look at human rights record in China, you will see what I am talking about.

Some how I don't think so, as for sizes of Chinese families,

They can't have as many kids in China, the government has quotas. If they had other places to live, they could have more kids. So there ya go. Reason to imperialize.

The Chinese seem to integrate, work hard and demand nothing, they are more than welcome.

Well, yeah, they have done that but that was before. I predict things will change and the Chinese will take over. If they had other places to live they could have bigger families, right? So that's all the reason they need. Get ready to become an extention of China :)

If you think any immigrant demands nothing, think again!!! The reason most move is to find a better life.

If United States would have been to the east of Poland instead of Russia, Poland would have been part of western Europe. I know that makes no sense and sounds like a contradiction but it illustrates my point nicely. Russia advanced and moved in and were there. That's why they got Eastern Europe. US and Britain were in the western part of Europe. I guess western Europe was lucky Stalin didn't try to push the US out? It could of gone either way.

You want to blame the US but remember Stalin put up walls and curtains as soon as it became clear eastern Europe did not want to be a part of the Soviet Empire.

So the EU is basically about industry and resources. I never thought of it like that...I thought of it more in terms of government entities in coordination with one another. It makes sense it began as a steel and coal community because the EU is about being more effective in the global market.

This is how I see it even though I don't agree...the US gave Eastern Europe to Stalin because of his military victories against Nazi Germany. He wanted to be rewarded for his victories, so the allies caved.
