Life / Are Polish traditions dissapearing [93]

In South bend Inidana USA they celebrate Dyngus day. My step-sister's mother in law was in the paper showing off her goods baked for Dyngus Day!

Love / Don't Polish men fall for British women? [57]

What about Polish-American women?? DO Polish men like us??? I did not find so many Polish guys approaching in 3 weeks as I did in Czech Republic where I stayed only 1 week.

Love / Polish men vs German men: Who is hotter? [513]

German guys can't dance. They may be cute.. but they are stiff in the wrongest way!?

My vote is 4 polish - cause baby got back! Me likes back! Although I really can't talk b/c I have no experience beyond 1st base with either.

I cannot believe they voted Italian #1 - that was my worst, well second worst experience.

Dutch-American , Turkish-American and Egyptian ...at the top of my list!

I was really bummed I did not find many Polish guys who spoke English when I went to Poland last summer. They were really laid back. Now, Czech... I was just getting warmed up ....wish I had more time there.... they are not too shy...Polish folks were real reserved.

Love / Are all Polish women the same..... [81]

Not knowing what u want is a function of age. It takes most guys 'til they're 40 to figure things out...why should women know any sooner????

I have always known what i wanted since I was a teen.......

Polish-American Princess,
......................that's priestess to you! LOL!

PS my Polish cousin married an immigrant who did not have a pot to **** in ..Ha! I think the cheating thing works both ways.

PPS - Poland is such a family oriented society most feel obligated to get married and pro-create. Now being forced to do something u were not sure about in the 1st place, ...no wonder there's cheating... Or.. go back to a function of age and experience point....

Life / How important is it to have a car in Poland? [37]

My cousin has a hybrid - the hydrogen is way cheaper than gas-o-line. Double roundabouts - or suicide roundabouts where they allow 2 lanes to turn in 1 direction is enuf to make me use public transport over there. that was pretty crazy! My Polish cousins complained about them.

Life / Experience more in Poland than any other Country [10]

i have been to both places. you forget you have nature's playground in the ocean. poles have mtns. it was an amazing trip 2 both places. in poland i noticed women do not travel alone so much. i felt isolated not knowing polish. In OZ people are very independent. In Poland the scenery was beautiful. i did not get to party so much . hikiing in the tatras wore me out. i literally passed out each night. i had family i had never met before. the hospitality was incredible. of course the food rocks too. I stayed most of my time with family who had children. I stayed with 1 single cousin who did not like to go out and party. we did hit the jazz fest in kazmiersz. rooftop concerts was nice.

I was very glad to see where my grandmas people came from and learn about those circumstances when poland did not exist. our papers say ostreich. It was an emotional experience lighting a candle in a polish church for my dead grandmother.

I met a holocaust survivor on the train from krakow to praha.

OZ was more amazing because of the diversity of geography was greater - bigger country. blue mtns, great ocean road, penguin parade, darwin's walk, great barrier reef, ayers rock. Talking to aboriginal people and seeing their art.

poland is a beautiful country. I hit the tatras, biescady, pienneys......Even with the fattening food, I lost 2 pant sizes!!!!! I hope to visit there again.

I loved krakow but i loved prague more. Prague has the largest eastern europe disco there. More people speak English so I think they seemed friendlier. I could live in Krakow or Prague for a summer. (I hate cold) Tourin was a great city to visit. I did not go to warsaw othere than for train connection.

on the city bus I got dropped off at the wrong place. I ended up hiking into slovakia by misstake. 1st place i come across is a liquor store. so i go in. There's nothing but old people in there but i figured - what the hell? Does anyone one speak english? 4 old folks turn around and ask me what i need! hey were all from the south side of chicago where my family is from and they were staying in poland!? Can u believe that!!!?????

Life / Polish Shelf Toilets [32]

I just went to Poland for the 1st time this summer. I loved the shelf toilet! First of all, the water I just peed in does not splash me in the behind!

Second of all, yeah, I can see the logs I just dropped. SOmetimes one needs to it check out to see if everything is OK. I had borscht and had bloody stools. Normally I would not have been able to see that, if I had used an American toilet.

3rd - where i live we almost ran out of water. these look like low water useage toilets.

My gramps died on his American toilet - heart attack. He was sitting down - so it really doesn't matter the style of toilet. It's the act of pushing....and excertion.

I like the turkish-style in ground squat pots. It is way cleaner - and the fact that there is a hose or little pot to wash yourself even better!

where can i get a shelf toilet in the USA?
