Love / What are the perceptions of polish towards homosexuality? [106]

[quote=filipina]disease not desease.... never happy?how u know it?im lesbo and im happy :)

I lot of gay people are not able to relate to people of the opposite sex, usually caused by poor upbringing... I don't think gays and lesbians are happy.. when I was young I inadvertently opened a toilet cubicle only to find two males having it out hammer and tongs, I wondered for a long time why they didn't drink water from a tap if they were so thirsty...I don't think they were happy people.

Law / Business setup in Poland [36]

Firstly - I am laughing and a bit shocked at some of the negative opinions on the site - i.e Bolek - things are never that black and white, ever.

Best be shocked now than face the reality of real Polish life. Doing business in the US is so much easier than in Poland. If you like the people and life style it may be something which you can get used to. I've know many Poles who have lost everything over setting up a business. A multi national company is treated differently than a sole trader setting up a business.

misskend, nice to have made you laugh sorry to have shocked you.

Law / Business setup in Poland [36]

its just not logical - 'doing business in the us is so much easier than in Poland' not logical i am afraid and why the hell are you on a Polish forum making such a statement, that baffles me even more.

misskend, firstly if would be nice if you would show your hand and advise us to what type of business you are involved in, than hiding behind a mask.

I accept what you are saying and basically what you are saying makes sense to a lot of people but by no means all.

If you asked 10 people who have started a business, you would get 10 different perceptions,. Its a bit like asking 10 people who purchased real estate in the last couple of years what they thought on the matter, undoubtedly some have made money and some have lost.

Doing business in Poland is a tricky business, a lot of unknowns a lot of wild cards etc,
Polish people have funny business perceptions and practices which is different to that in the US.

If you can tell me being a non Pole that you have done well in your business venture in Poland, I can only say congratulations and I take my hat off to you..

P.S cheer up/.

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

The likes of Ola needs to back up her argument with at least one actual fact.

Ola has clearly expressed her point of view, which I agree with.. First to hear that somebody has to provide facts to back up his point of view.. hmmm arrr

Right now it appears to be a ******** shop for bitter failures.

Its seems to me misskend that your are involved in the IT or ESL education type work, by your own use of words it seems you are a angry and aggressive type of person.

It would not surprise me if you were a educated Indian starting out in a small business.

It would be a boring forum if every person were to agree with each other and a critical approached was seen as a negative.

Please learn to relax and learn by other peoples experiences.

Klu klux clan, Nazis and many other obviously racist people also have their opinions however when your opinions incite racial hatred then if you want to make a valid argument then it needs to be backed up with facts

Its you who would like to censor argument, this is a open discussion forum where all views can be expressed, not just yours.
I quess you would like a forum where discussion is censored, like during the commie days,
get a life will ya.

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

By the way, just another 3 poles asking me to buy some apartments, they said they needed the cash and would give a good discount. If the price is good, I will again buy them and wait for the price go higher than sell them, that's what called investment. What can you do about it??

Half your luck, I think a lot of poles will be selling out and coming out at a loss. Poles just rub their hands and smile when they hear a foreigner is interested in purchasing their real estate.. greed works both ways.

Getting back to topic, you don't have to be boy genius to work out that foreigners have bumped up real estate prices in Poland, good for a few, bad for the majority.

you dont have to be a boy genius to work out you have no idea what youre talking about

You may be correct Mr Winkski but I am right on this issue, yes if I knew what I was talking about I would be a millionaire and living the good life, I would have no time being on this forum.

Since word of a EU, the price of real estate has increased in Poland and has done so till some 12 months ago, its a fact. A lot of people has cashed in and done pretty well at the expense of the Poles.

Ola is to be congratulated for making her point of view.

Mr Winkski, I sure forum members would like more imput from you as you seem to know everything, why not register and let us know who you are, overwise you may be mistaken for a troll!

Hitler had his small minded opinions too and look what happened. he blamed the jews for all the woes of post world war Germany.

Hmmm, when people bring up this comment to win a arguement, it means they have lost the arguement.

Please, please misskend, do some research into this topic before you talk such nonsence.

You may want to substitute wodka instead of water to make you point, although it still will not work.

The issue of shortages of homes bumping up prices of homes is not the point, most poles had no money or access to funds to enter the housing market.

UK, Ireland / "Polish ambassador warns - think twice about coming to Britain for work " [126]

Poles don't go to UK

Don’t come to UK, says Poland’s ambassador

21.09.2009 12:09

Poland’s Ambassador to Great Britain, Barbara Tuge-Erecinska, has warned Poles to think twice about coming to the UK, as they probably won’t get work.

Tuge-Erecinska warned Poles away from the United Kingdom, saying that the labour market is in a bad way and the economic recession and growing unemployment will make finding a job, and especially those who do not speak sufficient English, almost impossible.

The Polish Ambassador in London added that the lack of jobs could increase problems Polish immigrants already face in the UK.

“In such a difficult economic situation as there is in Great Britain, when jobs are being cut, social tension could turn against Poles,” the Ambassador is quoted in the Guardian newspaper, adding that, “I wouldn’t say we have seen many cases. It happens, and that is bad enough. I have faith the authorities can prevent it.”

According to Tuge-Erecinska, increasing numbers of unemployed Poles in the British Isles can only serve to increase the anger and hard feelings that Brits feel against the immigrant population.

However, the ambassador said Poles who come to England to work hard. “If they come here and work, they also pay taxes and fees,” stated Tuge-Erecinska.

The Embassy has tried to distribute the warning not to come to the UK via the internet and other media outlets. Priests have even been asked to tell parishioners to make sure the message gets to those in rural areas.

Between 2000 and 2006, over 2 million citizens left Poland and settled, largely, in Ireland and the UK. Since May 2004, following Poland’s May 1 entry into the European Union, the British Home Office reported that about 270,000 Polish citizens registered for work in the UK. (mmj/pg)

Hmmm, Can I say to the Brits please don't come to Poland (unless your are a tourist)

[quote=RevokeNice]Add on to that the child benefits, rent allowance, education, english classes, medical cards yadda yadda, you get the picture.

Settle down my good friend, please otherwise you will have a heart attack, its a level playing field now and in the best interest of Poland, no more foreigners in Poland.

Britain and Ireland would be wise to do the same.. keep in mind England in the good old days benefited from cheap labour and paid poles peanuts.. now its time for them to pay for it...justice has been done. what goes around comes around....sorry old boy thats the reality of life.

Sure, good point, a lot of people who posted for a long time are not doing so, perhaps they may have gone back to GB... Bubba woo comes to mind.
