True, especially when the zlote is loosing its value. keep in mind the average wage in poland is just over 3000zl and it is much harder to get credit.

Food / Best donuts in Warsaw? [22]

If you only knew what ingrediants are used in these McDonalds donuts, a deadly cocktail of enhancers and fat, fat, fat. Still cannot work out why donuts are called donuts, I haven't seen any nuts in a donut!!!

History / An apology to Poland from Australia [55]

McCoy:
to kick some british asses.

This is precisely the kind of level of idiocy I have come to expect on Polish Forums.

This is a very accurate statement, and should be taken in context, The Australian soldier was a happy go lucky type of person and resented the strict discipline of the British. The Australian soldier believed the British to be inferior soldiers made worse by the fact that the British made the major military decisions. They made fun of Officers and all the crap associated with the war.

The Australian soldier had a very high regard to Polish soldiers in the WW2

News / Is Poland ready for the swine fever stuff? [59]

No need to be so bloody rude, the poster said they were worried so I suggested staying in as much as possible, not locking herself in a box for christ sake

Thanks for your response and getting it off your chest. No one is trying to insult anybody Pani Polska, but lets get all this in proper perspective, The Press and TV are having a field day selling newspapers etc, in scaring people. Its interesting that a lot of people have made a lot of money, just look at the price of some of the shares associated with medicines and blood. Lets just get on with the business of living and not paranoia.

There were people who stocked up with food and water during the Y2 scare, people who went to the land of the missing during the bird flu scare and now we have people washing there hands every few seconds as a result of a swine flu. Its best to stay in bed all day otherwise you might get knocked over by a car or some other misadventure. Get a life will you.

Read your history, folks - in 1918

Thanks, if the newspapers don't leave me depressed there is always somebody else who will, here goes another year living in suspense and anxiety waiting for the swine virus to surface with a vengeance.

"There is a high possibility that this virus will come back, especially in colder periods," he said. "

Thanks Lir for the good news, I think I will retire and live amongst the fairies.

Life / How much Zloty to have an average life in Poland? [98]

Are you telling me that people living in Olsztyn on the average wage of 2500zl a month walk around ransacking rubbish bins for food and clothing in order to survive!!!

What sort of nonsense you are writing.. You may want to itemise your expenses and prove your point.
5000zl a month brut is a good income and the average Pole would live good on this money.

(unless your a gambler or drunk)

News / Rydzyk gets away with racism yet again [198]

Its nice to see a heated discussion over the good padre, I've yet to hear one allegation against this person to be proven, interesting to note that those throw the most mud with unfounded allegations are more offensive and out of order than anything this priest has done.

For those with a lack of humour can I just say 'get a life will ya'

ha ha, you are the first to make fun at other people and when you get a bit of your own medicine you cry wolf... I am not going to call you a idiot, I just carn't find a similiar word which means the same thing which is not offensive.

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

Shelley, I'm afraid enough has been said on this forum on this topic, let us all agree that foreigners are not welcomed in Poland full stop.

Poland is for Poland, not for the British or Irish or Jew.

It is also true that those who are not Polish should go elsewhere.

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

Does that go for foreign companies investing in Poland? Maybe Cadburies should have gone somewhere else, or maybe the 1,000s of Poles that came to the UK should have gone somewhere else.

The only reason cadburies invest in Poland is because they can get cheap labour, most foreign companies are now finding it cheaper going to Romania, the people who benefit are the greedy shareholders in GB... Short time gain long time pain.

quote=SzwedwPolsce]Sorry, but other Polish people don't think like you. I'm Swedish, and I have lived in Poland for 2 year. Almost Polish people I have met have been nice and welcomed me to their country. You are an exception from what is normal in Poland.
You are not Polish and should not comment, its pretty obvious if a group of foreigners get together they would share different views than those in a Polish group.

I'm sick and tired of non Poles telling us how Poland should be run. Go back to where you come from and let Poland be Poland.

I'm sure if a group of Poles went to the US and wanted the Americans to change there laws etc, they would be promptly told where to go.

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

I
All my polish mates are open to people from different cultures and are always happy to welcome anyone from abroad. Of course there are some parochial, simple minded people like you, but don't put your point in such way - like you are speaking for all the Poles.

Are you Polish???

I've made my point and no need going back and covering old ground, Get your facts right most Poles don't like the foreign invasion full stop. Most foreigners enjoy Poland because it is cheap, friendly and girls are attractive. A person who is a no body in GB etc can be a somebody in Poland because he is able to flash his dollars.

pounds...:)

converted in dollars, poles love the american dollar, pounds haven't got the same impact.

But that's just for a short period. Then he will have to prove himself anyway. And yes, I'm Polish.

If he wants to play on a level playing ground thats good, most don't do that they just take advantage of the situation

how about flushing pounds in the states? Just another option :-)

hmmm yeah, thats providing the pound is worth anything in the states... the point of the exercise is that most poles still think your a big shot if you go around with a fist full of US dollars. A Polish person producing a fist full of polish zlote in the US would probally be told to us it as toilet paper.. sort of.

They say it is a very refreshing change to have a man who knows where to find a clitoris and what to do with it.

I don't think your referring to British men, who have a habit of saving water and soap, the smell of british men would be a put off for polish girls.

Why don't you come to Uk preach your gospel to 1000's of poles here to return to Poland and refraining from buying properties.

I would have no problem if the British Government banned foreign people buying properties in the UK.
I have my point of view and I will not budge. Most poles would agree with me, I suppose I will get more vocal responses from non poles on this issue.

That would be like saying Poles in the UK have to be fully integrated into the British community before they are entitled to express their opinion.

Opinion is cheap, what we are talking about is real estate in Poland, I'm sure if people from a foreign country were buying up real estate in the UK and pushing prices up, you would hold my opinion. The Brits/Irish in Poland have no intention of putting into Polish society apart from cashing in and then returning home. The poles in the UK are just doing the crap work which is beyong the dignity of the Brit to do.( a repeat of the situation of what occurred in the US with the Negro population)

Law / Business setup in Poland [36]

What does a Yank need to start a regular Sole Proprietorship in Poland?

My advice is to think it out before attempting to start a business in Poland, lost of red tape and locals do not like foreigners, they will always opt in supporting a local.

sorry
