Ah...yeah I have not spent much time in that region (silesia). Personally I think air quality is one of the most obvious signs of life quality in a city environment. If it is covered in pollution the odds are the other life comforts are low as well. Just look at how Beijing scrambled to reduce pollution for the Olympics (and they failed miserably) and they even tried to say it was just 'fog'.

In my opinion Warsaw is pretty filthy for a city. The streets are not cleaned well, lots of rubbish around, buses, trams and metros are filthy (except the fancy new ones). Now New York and LA are just as bad for example...so it is not an anti Poland statement. But there are cities that are more clean overall. I will refrain from listing those I think are to avoid the arguments.

Well they should be more clear in their meaning...next big labor and economic hubs? Sure I can get that. But those places are never nice to live in and do not have high qualities of life for most people.

I think Poland is dirty in the cities compared to a lot of places...but what they do NOT have is air pollution. I would say the air in Warsaw is of fine quality. There is not a city in China that isn't covered in it. Makes you want to vomit just breathing sometimes.

Maybe compared to the other places on that list...but that is not saying much.

Numbers 1,2,6 and 10 are huge Chinese cities...have any of you been to China? The quality of life there is horrible. The air is horrid, infrastructure is not well built...most cities on that list are business and labor hubs but to say quality of life is high in any of them for the average person is ridiculous.

Wipe the quality of life rating off the list and it makes more sense. And to put Warsaw (as bad as it is) under 3 Chinese cities is a joke...even the richest Chinese city is filthy and smelly and makes Poland look like paradise.

This is perplexing and this is the only place I have ever seen that happen...even in third world African countries when they did have electricity (or it was working) the outlets stayed in the wall.

I have no intention on living here for life and would rather spend my time learning more useful languages...especially since I can manage with English and my limited Polish (hell the things I have trouble with the native speakers I know cant sort either...like government offices)..though I am learning it it just not my focus. Nah...I have been quite clear that I am not good at speaking Polish yet. The PolTran comment was because it often translates into jibberish and that sounds like most of what you say. So you see moron it wasn't an insult as to your English skills (which are not bad really) but rather the content of what you say.

But I am sure you still won't get it even after a very clear explanation. Plus you SO BADLY just want to use it as some way to say I am stupid because I am not fluent in Polish...I have been occupying my time with other languages so you can leave that little insult at your feet.

Lot's of stuff mainly centering around the Polish ability to be offended by anything including a compliment and the generally homogenous and racist nature of a large part of the society. Apparently I am also not allowed to dislike the food or customer service unless I am a racist. When I meet a Pole that is actually honest about Poland faults I about fall over as it is so uncommon. Yeah quite honestly...and I am sure its the same in all countries...most people don't go to the wedding for you...they go to eat and get drunk for free. Without alcohol though you can ensure only people that really care about you will show up ;)

I agree just plan it how you guys want it. I have been to different kinds and I have to say I like the smaller calmer ones over the two day drunk fests where a lot people get blasted and make arses of themselves, puke on everything and damage stuff that you end up having to pay for.

You probably know this but for the non Polish speaking one of you there will need to be an official translator hired for the civil ceremony part as it is conducted in Polish. It is really easy as they just repeat the declarations etc in English and you can answer in English then the translator confirms it. I did not find it disrupted the flow at all.
