BLS, but also US has a huge number of Korean population and they have now lifted the restrictions to Koreans. Also I am aware that Poles and Koreans were not elligable to apply for a green card.. so I would have thought that if the Koreans were included in the visa waiver program, Poland would be included too. Poland is the ONLY Eastern European country that joined EU in 2004, which was not included in the US visa waiver program. sad..

and Yes, how could US ask Poland for a premission to build a defense shield while they soley excluded Poland from the visa waiver program...

I was looking at the US Embassy page and notcied that Poland was not included in the Visa Waiver Program. I do not understand why only Poland has been excluded... they all joined EU at the same time ... what is the difference?

Travel / Typical Polish Weather In December [15]

I will be in Warsaw for Chirstmas, my second time to spend Xmas in Poland but I dont remember it being very cold nor there was any snow. I really hope it snows this time... over the past years did you get much snow around Christmas period?

UK, Ireland / Tax return when leaving the U.K. [8]

OK thanks... just was wondering since someone told me that was the case... Aussies for some reason can claim back their tax... but i guess Poles are in EU so might not be the case...

I was told that Polish nationals can claim the U.K. income tax (or something) back if they leave the U.K within 2 yrs, is that the case?

Life / 26th December are shops and restaurants in Poland open? [7]

27th Dec is a saturday so I have a bad feeling that everyone will just take a long xmas break. anyway, i will see. if not i can get few things at the airport...

well, if i dont manage to do my shopping done this time, i will have to come back again, Poland is just so far from where i live, not easy though.

i see... i will only be in Warsaw from the 24th -27th... wanted to get myself a nice leather jacket, polish food and take my family friends out for dinner... but i guess, everything will be shut then...

Trying to book a flight to Warsaw for only few days over Xmas and while I am there, I wanted to stock up with Polish stuff to take back home. Before I book the flight I wanted to check up if shops / restaurants would be opended on the 26th or the 27th Dec..

you kidding right? you have to be thankful, people now say the number of good looking woman in the U.K. has increased, thanks to Polish chicks
