Thank you all, this is interesting.
To Greg who said gays should be healed........ well there are probably many aspects to your being that need healing too - like not judging others, perhaps being less hypocritical, less negative, more loving..... and I don't even know you!

Grzegorz are you being sarcastic? I don't see what's so fascinating about that.
Dzhaklin he is born in Poland and all his family are there. He is honestly the one of the most remarkable people I know, and I know A LOT of people who I can't say that about

I have no idea. I didn't really want to discuss racism to be honest, as I have yet to come across a polish person who has a problem with my race. I'm open-minded about all nationalities, change has to start somewhere doesn't it?

@ Hairball - Do you mean racist against black people or racist against any one non-polish? My friend at uni tells me it is no more racist in Poland than in the UK, and the majority of Polish people I've come across seem warm and open-minded.

Lol at ShelleyS - He knows I'm attracted to foreign men! And we're not really together-together as such any more, just cohabiting. He actually makes me sick. I moved from Manchester to be with him but he's not the same person I met 2 years ago.

Anyway thanks guys!

"There is moeny to be made form the gay culture I presume"

Not really. I think the Gay week thing you refer to might be annual pride festival, which is more of a celebration than making money, but I don't know. As far as my friend is concerned, I'm not one to push things in peoples faces if they are clearly uncomfortable. Ok thanks for your help, but I'm still waiting on someone to fill me in about what it's like generally. Do the polish have more of a problem with polish gay men as opposed to homosexuality in general, and if I were to come to Poland would I find any gay clubs, or is there somewhere in london where gay polish guys meet, that sort of thing.

Miranda I've looked and I can't see anything! I guess I'm asking cos I find Polish men very attractive. I'd like to make more gay polish friends here in london, as well as possibly in Poland in the future and would like to know more in terms of statistics, the culture etc. I have yet to meet an ugly polish man (or woman for that matter). I like the accent and something about the facial structure of guys I've met in London, all of whom are straight.

Love / Polish Gay Life [142]

Hi all. I'm new to this so if this topic has been covered or is in the wrong place, please forgive me. I am A gay black student from London. I am openly gay to all my friends and family who are all accepting of this fact, and being the large, diverse and open city London is I'm sure there are probably gay Polish people in London too. My best friend is Polish and he is straight and I feel uneasy speaking with him about this subject because I don't know the general public perception/state about gay people, and he goes very quiet when ever I try and speak with him about my problems with my partner. Anyway my question is how are gay's percieved in Poland. Is it accepted or frowned upon? Are there many gay Polish people in the UK, and are they attracted to black people? Thank you.
