Love is another condition for a partnership, and it would to have to go first, even before the fertility test you propose. And you might apply that gays love eachothers as well, but I would say that those gays would be a bad example for anybody willing to fall in love with a hetro couple. Weak individuals would be rather tempted through their gay friends to go out on a date with a homo in a desperate situation. Imagine those ugly geniouses like Hawkings or Einstein would not merry and get children but date gay partners. In a few generations we would life in a world of Arnold Schwarzeneggers with wars between neighbouring villages.
Irrelevant. If the church wants to be consistent, then it needs to say that infertile people shouldn't monopolize a fertile partner (and fertility tests should be carried out before the church gives it's blessings to a couple).
