Life / How do you Poles feel about the fact that so many Poles work abroad? [145]

Too bad that this whole topic is about Puzzy now. It could be an interesting topic. It's all about racism now and I don't really think the subject has a lot to do with racism..

Very unkind to say things about people's English writing skills. Is it really that important? We're all trying right.. Mine are not perfect either but I'm learning and learing is actually one of the reasons I'm reading this forum.

Is it possile for those who are interested in the subject, to just read the first post in this topic again and give a decent answer, and for all those who are not seriously interested to just **** off and spit all the frustration inside you over some other topic? Or to just keep it inside you? (actually only referring to Puzzy, let that be clear..)

And thanks to the people who did try to give an interesting and decent answer! (even if it's criticized by Puzzy afterwards :) )

Life / How do you Poles feel about the fact that so many Poles work abroad? [145]

You guys have a habbit of trying to make a subject into a race discrimination topic everytime unbelieveable get a life!

+1

Isn't it right that the university in Warsav is one of the best in Europe? Not quite sure..

How is is possible that there is no work in Poland? Or is there work enough and is the reason for those Poles who go work abroad just the better wages in other countries? Where are the Poles who know about this subject? Please post here and tell me how it works :)

Life / How do you Poles feel about the fact that so many Poles work abroad? [145]

This is a subject I'm very curious about.

Unlike the negative image wich is created by the media in Holland, I can not imagine it to be negative for my country that so many Poles come work here. At the moment there are too many jobs that would not be filled if there wouldn't be people from other countries to work here. If in the company where I work all the people from other countries would leave today, we could close it tomorrow!

How do you feel about this subject? After all, it can't be good for Poland to lose so many workforce to other countries, right?

When I talk about this subject with colleagues from Poland, they say that it's caused by the fact that there is not so much work for educated people in poland right now. Therefore it seems better to go work abroad (where you get relatively better wages) then to educate yourself in Poland. If that's true, how is it possible that there is no work for educated people in Poland?

How do you think that this all will develop in the future? Do you think that joining the European Union will straighten things between the countries in the long run?

News / On the news: 600 of the 700 Polish criminals in Holland come from Warsaw [30]

PS. Seanus (a real 'expert' on Poland!) and Ewilina - two Polonophobes mobbing up against the Poles? Nice indeed.

Well, this post is a perfect example of something that is too stupid to get frustrated about. Isthatu2 is right; I was just wondering why so many are from Warsav. I work with Poles every day. It's interesting to see the situation in the firm I work. Peoples reactions on people from other countries (not only from Poland, but for example also from Russia, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Iraq, etc. etc.). How we all get along very well. How fast the People from Poland learn German or English, and how some of my Dutch colleagues (including me) try to learn Polish. (Damn your language is tuff ;) )

And then, Puzzy, I'm not an ethnick (blonde hair, blue eyes), so it's seems rather impossible for me to be a racist (against the Poles) right? Since we are from the same race ;)

For 5 months I had a Polish boyfriend. Even been to Poland to visit his hometown and his familiy. So maybe you shouldn't form your opinion too fast. Actually, I think that's cause number 1 of racism / xenophobia: trust your prejudices and not be open minded to everything that does not fit in your own shortsighted ideas.

Travel / Most beautifull Polish City to spend your holiday? [12]

What do you think is the most beautifull city/town in Poland for people from other country's to visit when they spend their holiday in Poland? I prefer an old city centre, nice shops and a good party place..

And another question.. how much costs travelling by train from one city to another in Poland?

News / On the news: 600 of the 700 Polish criminals in Holland come from Warsaw [30]

Don't get me wrong.. I like Poland and I enjoy working with all my Polish colleagues here in Holland! But this week I heard on the radio that from the 700 Poles who are prosecuted here in Holland for (small) crimes, 600 are from Warsaw! Where's that about?! Is there some organization-thing going on or something?

Travel / Going to Kędzierzyn-Koźle in August [10]

Hello everybody. In August I'm going to Kędzierzyn-Koźle for a week. I've been to Poland once before. My stay back then was awesome. Can someone tell me about Kędzierzyn-Koźle? What kind of town is it and is it worth going? I'd like to have kind of a party week. What's the citycentre like? Does anyone have tips? Is there anyone who knows a nice hostel in the centre?
