Love / Do Polish women like to be surprised? [35]

Hi, I've been chasing this girl prob since Jan, got wee polish names for each other :? maybe earlier, asked her out end of feb to which I got a "don't know". we still talk and stuff, hard to do at work when I'm on shifts and she is agency with a supervisor who prevents me from talking to her properly as he is jealous and has handed her his number 3 times which she told me she crumpled up and kept telling him she'd no money in her phone.

Last wednesday she says "so when we go for coffee?" I said I'm not sure whenever when she said "today", so she gives me a bit of paper with her address on it and time to come at. We had a nice night, bit of flirting, stayed for bout 5 hours, no kissing or nothing so I'm guessing she's not like that on first time of meeting outside of work which is fine with me.

Her birthday was on Friday there but we never got anything sorted bout meeting up and I have been off work since Friday and don't have her number dispite numerous times to take it when she left her room as she had it written on a calender in full view of me.

Today I'm off work and was thinking bout going up to see her but I don't want to travel all the way up there to find her not in or something or because she's not expecting me a bit wierd with me. I know she likes me as my friend told me before she went on maternity leave. I really like this girl, little more than I should at this point, despite her lack of confidennce in english and know if I don't I'll prob not see her again till next monday :(

Language / How Many of you love the Polish Language? [79]

I think it depends on who it is that's speaking it, I've found some people it sounds quite nice and some where it sounds really horrible. I think it's funny to try and say some words as some words I get a buzzing in my ear like I'm doing the noise of a bee. Bit offputting if I'm trying to say a polish sentence lol

And not my baby, my friend is prob pregnant by her boyfriend and she is not the girl I'm posting about lol

Mate you on the wind up or something? If you read my post you'll find I could've got her number but was stupid in that I didn't take it the numerous chances I could've taken it.

I knew that, didn't mean for it to come across agressively lol

Where are the ladies on this site, I need a female perspective, unless I already have women talking to me here. Nicknames on forums are so confusing :/

Decided not to go after talking to a friend on msn. I'm guessing she'd prob like to be prepared andstuff so just gonna get her number next time I see her :)

My friends cousin is, for want of a better term, mentally disabled. He has water on the brain or something but when his family were away to Spain on holidays, he picked up the phone and started talking in Spanish to the other person on the phone. It's quite strange and interesting how the mind of a child works.

She comes in the door and you yell SURPRISE! and shower her with your manly love liquid

I lol'd

why is it that some men need to be told obvious things like this?! lol. she obviously wants you to take the lead, read the signs, take the hints and get on with it!

Ok boss don't need to tell me twice, I'm on the case next time I see her, thats if procrastination doesn't get to me, damn I hate being a libra sometimes

An offer to shower together is often a nice way of doing this. Flowers also do the trick. Chocolates, well, it depends.

Way to early for the first, the second I was told to do and the third, I've no idea if she likes chocolate :/

As for the wrong hole, there;s no harm in trying :S

What is it with "do Polish women this, do Polish women that lol?"

Completely agree here, they seem to be complete c**ts regardless where they are from. The girl in the original post is just playing with me it seems. We exchanged numbers and were speaking to each other last thurs and we spoke on sun too. I saw here at work yest and asked her what she was doing on wed (today) as we were both off as I'd swapped days to watch the UEFA cup final and she just laughed and said no when I asked her if she wanted to go out, do something etc. This pissed me off a bit but thought maybe she just didn't understand what I meant. Today I phoned about 1 no answer I phoned agian at bout 5, two rings and she hung up :( I'm done with polish girls at the mo, poland tops currently sitting in the bin and contemplating moving my polish language books into storage :s

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

What's the difference?

They just happen to be better looking than irish girls, not sure if thats anything to do with growing up with irish girls and the recent influx of eastern european workers or they actually are better looking. Just one of them things but imo they are better looking. :S

Have to have a wee look at this to see what she looks like, Doda? is so hot :D
Plus when I was at my friend/girlfriend/whatever she is at the mo's house she played a lot of polish music and there were a few songs by a female who I don't know that where quite nice, well much better than the polish hip hop my mate lent me lol

This Ukrainian is quite good :)

Our entries are always crap, much better ones in the heats that the judges kick out and leave the public with the crap songs to pick from, although I thought or "cabin crew" last year had a chance lol

Greece will win I think, they are usually always up there and there songs are quite pleasant as well. I think it'll be between Greece, Ukraine, think maybe Armenia are up there and I'd say Poland have as pretty good chance of scoring highly, I think Finland or Bosnia favs to get lowest points on the board the night lol

Oh and Iceland and Sweden have a good chance of scoring highly

News / 14 year old rape victim from Warsaw denied abortion! [348]

Same thing happened in the Republic of Ireland, can't remember how long ago, maybe ten years ago, but the church wouldn't let her abort it even though she was raped by a family member I think and only bout 13/14. Religion can be so backwards at times.

News / 14 year old rape victim from Warsaw denied abortion! [348]

"Ireland's constitution was altered by national referendum in 1983 to give unborn children equal rights to life as mothers. In 1992, a teenager aged 14, who became pregnant through being raped, was refused permission to travel abroad in order to get an abortion. The case eventually went to the supreme court in Ireland where, because she was considered to be at risk of suicide, the decision was finally made to allow her to leave the republic for the operation. Since 1992, four governments have refused to introduce legislation confirming the supreme court's judgment, and instead tried to get public support for a more restricted move. During 2002, a constitutional amendment which was designed to remove the threat of suicide as legal grounds for an abortion was narrowly defeated in a national referendum."

Just found that while looking for the thing I was referring to. The bold part is quite scary, these people would rather have the girl kill herself (and killing the baby effectively and comitting a huge sin in suicide) than have her kill an unborn child :/

Other things I found during my search were a 17yo girl being denied her gradution as she was 6 months pregnant and had to stay in her seat during the ceremony and was only told this 20 mins before it.

Churches are so backward and need to move forward sometimes. I'm not sure if Poland is more catholic than Ireland (I think it is tbh) but I'd like to hope they arn't as anal about it as the irish are.
