USA, Canada / The 2nd Amendment (USA), the right to own guns [261]

Believe what you want. I really dont give a damn.

It is now time disclose the real imposter.
About a month ago, I was accused of the same accusation that I am accused of today By time that I was able to respond

this guy was suspended.. Not for our discussion but for some other reason he was in conflict with some one else.

Two weeks later, he came on the scene again, under the name Kozalowski..Reading his posts, It was not long before I realized who he was. I contacted him via PM and told him that I knew who he was.. He got furious but did not deny it. He threatened to complain to adm. i told him to go ahead.

Two weeks later yesterday, I was attacked again, with the same accusation ,and same words as before.. This time under. another name.He took me by surprise. But after awhile things fell into place.. I wont mention his name.

He did accomplish one thing though. He convinced me that at my age (83) I dont need this abuse. Life is too short.

Therfore I am leaving to seek greener pastures. But before I go, i would like to quote another Great American.. General Douglas McArther when President Truman fired him. In a speech to Congress he made this quote.

Old soldiers never die, we just fade away

USA, Canada / The 2nd Amendment (USA), the right to own guns [261]

Oh you are such a fool. Allow me to prove you wrong on many occasions.
The 29th division was a Md Va and Pa national guard unit stationed at Ft Mead Md. Thats no #1
Number #2
The 29th landed on Omaha beach in the swecond wave.. For some reason I landed on Utah beach.
I am going to go in google to get the exact date that they arrived in England

This is off of google.. Chech it out you fool.

On 2 March, 1945, the division took the offensive, moving toward Keln and crossing the Erft Canal near Glesch. After clearing towns west of the Rhine, it crossed the river at Remagen on the 11th and continued to Linz and

From Beachhead to Brittany: The 29th Infantry Division at Brest is the long-awaited sequel to Beyond the Beachhead: The 29th Infantry Division in Normandy. After a brutal hedgerow campaign, the Allies broke out of Normandy and raced east toward Paris. But the top brass had other plans for the battle-hardened 29th Division, which had landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day and fought fiercely for every foot of ground in Normandy. The 29th must now turn west and seize the vital port of Brest, at the far western corner of Brittany. The troops expected the effort to take a week. It would instead last almost four.

The 99th US Infantry Division “Battle Babies” Reorganized as the 99th Infantry Division in April 1942, the division went ... to become the first infantry division to cross the famed Bridge at Remagen. ...

I could prove you wrong on every other doubt.. Buy why? What the hell do I owe you. SHAG OFF.

If there was a WWII Utah Beach veteran who was Internet savvy, I would expect so see a large abundance of materials citing him directly, including interviews, articles, etc. As the only known Internet-savvy WWII veteran, he would be in very high demand by the media.

Well now. It looks like FRANUS has to convince you.. Well Ok, that will be no problem.

When you have time, and you are interested. Go into WW2 TALK, it is on the net. You may have trouble navigating that site, I know that I did from the beginning. Look up veterans. You will see my name in there as Franek. There are more of us in there that are computer savvy. Go into search.. Type in the battle of the bulge. And then Remagan.. You will see some of my experiences while talking to others that were there.

Forgive my skepticism, but based on your usage of the English language here, which is a pretty good indicator of age, I would say you landed on Utah beach on June 6th 1944 while playing Medal of Honor Allied Assault.

AHHH! Another skeptic.. But I consider this a compliment.
I have been accused through life on many occasions of having a horrible accent..I have a mere 8th grade education in a Polish speaking Parochial school. I am a product of the great American depression, therefore there was no time to continue schooling.. My family needed financial help.. So I was sent to a farm along with my Grandmother to pick beans.

Now I am highly complimented by your compliment your observance of my language. You are not the first person to doubt my age.

Test me on any question of war on the western front during WW2..Trust me, I wont have to use google.

Travel / Is Poland mostly plains? [57]

I was always under the impression that Poland (Polska) was named for the lay of the land. POLE, FIELDS.

What is so derogatory about the word PEASANT? My father was a peasant from Galicia. He was never ashamed when he told me stories about farm life in the early 1900..They came to America because they never had enough of food to feed the family.. They were Jedziemy dla chleba immigrants

Don't worry Franus, Obama won't revoke the 2nd Amendment

Well! now.Who ever thought that you and I could be civil to each other. That's good. I was always leerie of you, and tried to be careful how I approached you. Now at last I find that you have some warm blood flowing through your veins.

I think that you should be advised, that I am not a gun nut.( But I do plead guilty of the other thingy that you accuse me of) I own two guns. But have never fired them in over 50 yrs. With me, it is just a man thing.. So I am not as evil as you think that I am.

Screw OBAMA.

As for my other smiley being old. HAH! So am I. It is the sign of the times

Also, as Franek himself said, and I will quote him if need be, what gave America the right to be the world police? Ask him, if he's honest then he'll admit to having said that.

Seanus, you are abosulutely right. I did make that statement. And I will say it again. Screw the rest of the world.. They have milked America enough. I also stated that we Americans should pull all of our troops from Germany, Iraq, Korea, and any other place that they are. Bring them home to protect our borders, keeping out free loaders.

America is self sufficient.. We have enough natural resources, we are the worlds bread basket. Oh yes, we have our share of pretty girls.

USA, Canada / POLISH AMERICANS UNAWARE of KOSHER FOOD TAX? [19]

Once in Miami Bh, I went to buy a ham sandwich and the guy wanted $12.00
I asked why it cost so much? He said its Kooosher.....

Sledge. Not doubting your word. But Jews are prohibited from eating ham. The theory behind that was that the Jewish elders considered a pig as unclean.. Sooo , no pork products are unclean, according to them.

I had a good Jewish friend who would eat ham and say that it was turkey..We both laughed about that. I tild him that I would not tell if he wouldnt

USA, Canada / POLISH AMERICANS UNAWARE of KOSHER FOOD TAX? [19]

Kosher food is food that meets Jewish dietary laws, or kashrut, which comes from the Hebrew word for "fit" or "proper." Any food can be called kosher food if it adheres to Jewish law, or halacha. Conversely, foods typically labeled as "Jewish" aren't necessarily kosher. Jewish foods are generally those dishes that are traditionally Jewish. Kreplach, cholent, kugel, latke, and kishka are all traditionally Jewish foods, but if they are not prepared in accordance with kashrut, they will not be kosher food.

USA, Canada / POLISH AMERICANS UNAWARE of KOSHER FOOD TAX? [19]

No big deal. As a rule polish Americans do not buy much kosher food. It is true we,buy a lot of Jewish food, but it is not necessarily kosher. This is a Religious choice for the Jews. As a rule the process is overseen by a Rabbi, to see that all the processes are conformed with to conform with Jewish religious law.

[quote=isthatu]
the constitution,as pointed out by many allows militias the right to carry arms, muzzle loading muskets at the time of writing the amensment.....jeez,I know this better than you and Im just a lil ole Brit.[/qu

Wrong. The constitution reads that it includes the individuals right to bear arms

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights found by the U.S. Supreme Court, in District of Columbia v. Heller (June 26, 2008), to protect the pre-existing INDIVIDUALS right to possess and carry weapons (i.e., "keep and bear arms") in case of confrontation.

Life / Polish Fairytales [25]

Hey guy's I am glad that you enjoy the link that I gave you, but there are many more. Try this one to start. If you enjoy this then I will give you more.. I know them all.

The Polish White Eagle
A thousand years ago, or maybe even more, there lived three brothers, Lech, Czech, and Rus. For many years they had been content in their villages, but the families grew larger and they needed more room to live.

The brothers decided to travel in different directions to search for new homes. Lech, Czech, and Rus traveled with their troops for many days. They rode their horses over mountains and rivers, through forests and wild country. There were no people to be found anywhere, not a town or tiny village. On the crest of a mountain top, they separated, each going in a different direction. Czech went to the left, Rus went to the right and Lech rode straight ahead, down the mountain and across vast plains.

One day Lech saw a spendid sight. He and his troops had come to a place where a meadow surrounded a small lake. They stopped at the edge of the meadow as a great eagle flew over their heads. It flew around in great swooping circles, then perched on its nest, high on a craggy rock. Lech stared in awe at the beautiful sight. As the eagle spread its wings and soared into the heavens again, a ray of sunshine from the red setting sun fell on the eagle's wings, so they appeared tipped with gold, the rest of the bird was pure white.

"Here is where we will stay!" declared Lech. "Here is our new home, and we will call this place GNIEZNO ... (the eagle's nest).

He and his people built many houses and it became the center of his territory. They called themselves Polonians, which means "People of the Field". They made a banner with a white eagle on a red field and flew it over the town of Gniezno, which became the first historical capital of Poland.

And, now you know how Poland began . .

News / Captain of hijacked tanker is Polish [71]

British aiding the Poles in WW2.. HAH, geeze what an idiot

After Poland had been overrun, a government-in-exile, an armed forces, and an intelligence service were established outside of Poland. These organisations contributed to the Allied effort throughout the war. As Poland never made a general surrender or produced a collaboratory puppet government, it was directly governed by a purely German administration know as the Generalgouvernement. This administration was in turn opposed by the Polish Underground State.

Poles provided important help to the Allies throughout the war. Some of these actions included the prewar and wartime decyphering of German Enigma machine codes by cryptologists Marian Rejewski and his colleagues; the service of the Polish Air Force, not only in the Allied victory in the Battle of Britain but also the subsequent war in the air; the defense of Tobruk; the capture of the German-held monastery hill of Monte Cassino; a role in the battle of the Falaise pocket; and an airborne brigade parachute drop during Operation Market Garden.

Get a life, you fool

Kolin;
Go to this site. It tells many Polish legends. As a young 1st generation Polish American, I recall sitting around a campfire listening to the old folks tell these stories.
