Life / How much do you HATE POLISH PEOPLE and POLAND [1260]

I am so sorry for what you have gone through. I agree, he should grovel and be making it up to you. She is a money grubbing 'ho and if I were in your place, I'd want to go to Poland and kick her ass. His too, though, because he should have been thinking with his other head and his heart. I do hope you go and find that Polish women should not be judged by one greedy 'ho although I suspect you know that already.

Food / Breakfast style bread [32]

I'm from the Buffalo area--we called it placek (sp?) too. My mom and grandma used to make it and we all just called it coffee cake. It was in the Easter basket but my mom died two years ago and no one knows how to make it. Makes me want to go to the Broadway market and get some.

Life / What makes you proud to be Polish? [150]

I am proud to be of Polish descent. In my city, Poles are known to be hard working, honest, family oriented people, loving, loyal and steadfast. Polish people are also known for their hospitality and for being sociable.

Maybe the downside is sometimes drinking a bit too much and the conservative nature of many of the people I grew up with.
In a larger sense, I think Poles are known throughout the world as being freedom fighters. As Lucynda noted, Poles hosted the Jewish community and many risked their lives during the war to save them. A brave people.

Love / I got married to a Polish wife; Polish family advice needed [45]

By paying, you would be enabling this nonsense and I would most vehemently say, do not do it. If your wife wants to get a job and help them live their lifestyle, that would be her choice.

The situation would be very different if the parents themselves were working and trying to help themselves. Since they are not, you can only assume that they are looking for whatever handouts they can get.
