What makes Poland different from other countries [55]
Seanus, maluch is a small and cheap in use car. Also its old and to be honestly here in Wroclaw there are not so much of them, actually they are quite rare. Maluch (Fiat 126P) is a part of polish history. Many of my foreig freinds like that ugly, small crap ;). Its not so bad with it.
It has been said, but people, is that you may concentrate on. Ask any polish about something in poland. We just talk, and talk and talk, and we're very happy that you ask, we think it is very nice that somebody is intrested in our habits, culture, food, music etc. etc.
We're also very proud of our history, it doesn't mean that we totally live of our old times, but we take it as a important part. Next thing is food and beer. There are few typical polish things-that-you-must-try while visiting my country. Beer? We love beer, although most of our beers is just a regular pils (porter is not so popular). Hm.. girls. We think that polish girls are the most beautyful, which is actually 100% truth. No joke ;).
And mental things: when we smile, we mean it. When we angry or sad, or just unhappy it is obviuos of our face. We love football (soccer). One year ago (when our national football team wasn't so goos as now) most of fans was saying that we really suck at football, but anyway we've been watching every game with so much certainty to win. Even when we're winning with weak opponent, we're happy as it was brasil. And on every champion we hope that we'll be the best. And as usuall we're very far from it. So what? ;)
yes we complain. And we're watching movies with lector on tv (one voice on every chracter). We're watching our favoiruite films for a hundert times, especialy when this are polish comedies.
My dutch friend has a another stuff in the subject: its phenomen that in this country (poland) that almost every young university student works in totally diferent place then his education (then he put on his theory my example and other few mates). And that might be truth ;). I'm manager in sport store, i work with tourist and recreation student, sociology, administration and there are two girls from university of technology (physics and engineering). And im studying political science. Nice mix, istn't it?
Sorry for my english, and good luck.
