I am new to this forum and came here to learn a bit about polish people. Currently im dating a very sweet polish girl who i love very much but i have run into a few quirks. Her family doesn't want us to b together b/c i am not polish and my family is a bit on the liberal side. They r basically ur typical polski's catholic, dad works construction and mom cleans houses etc..... They r very close with their family everywhere. Somehow they have this delusional idea that im not good enuf and im like a devil b/c my dad is a bit of an outspoken lobbyist which really turned them off when they met him. How can i make them okay with our relationship? How can i get them to like my family more? Y is it they seem to hate my dad and family literally for what he does for a living?

Well Im a freemason and my GF is a catholic and recently her priest proclaimed that freemasonry has proven itself to be from satan. HE CLAIMED IN FRONT OF AN ENTIRE CONGREGATION THAT A WHILE BACK FREEMASONS HAD BEEN INDICTED FOR BLOWING UP A CATHOLIC CHURCH. Now this is all lies the church he said was blown up never was blown up! There is no evidence for this yet all of the poles eat it up.

Seriously this church should b sued for slander! LYING TO INSTILL HATE IN THE MASSES! WTF Let me see wat my lodge has done. 1. support childrens cancer hospitals 2. help children with speech impairments and children with scholarships for college. How am i supposed to respond to morons like this? How can they say a thing like that when masons give 1.6 million dollars every day to charities? I confronted my GFs mom about this and she told me that the freemasons in poland gangrape girls for initiations! Why is excessive drinking viewed in an okay light in polish culture? It seems to me that poles have no problem with children even as young as 16 drinking. Don't they realize that alcohol has comparable addiction potential with heroin? I recently had a conversation with my GFs polish mom about how terrible marijuana is and how healthy it is to drink vodka.... This is a very wrong view alcohol can't even be compared to MJ in terms of damage to ur body, addiction and overdose potential. Oh and don't tell me that 1 drink a day is good b/c it seems to me like they believe if 1 is good than 3 or more is better which is absolute BS. 3 or more drinks a day will damage ur liver in the long run.

I live in cali and I am constantly plagued by this..... there are barrios u cannot go to if ur a white boy for fear of being jumped! I can take u to entire cities where every1 speaks only spanish! Some of my friends dads who worked construction jobs were put out of business b/c the mexicans will work illegally for half of the wage.

They have to spend tax payer $ to educate their children in ESL classes. Not only that but they r flooding our hospitals! My mom used 2 be a nurse and has seen many illegals run up hospital bills over 100k that float to the government!

Life / Would this be viewed as okay for most Polish families? [38]

Or is this just my Gfs family. Her brother lived at home until he was 28 years old. his mother and his sister did his laundry and cleaned his room for him the entire time while he was living at home. Not to mention cooking for him every time he was hungry. He finally decided to get his career started and enter an apprenticeship in construction at age 27. He recently is going to marry a woman who has a very high paying professional job. I worry that he will expect her to do all of these things 2 and bring home the $ b/c they recently bought a very expensive house. I mean how can a woman be expected to bring home the paycheck and wash the clothing and clean?

In my family this is very disturbing. I would only be allowed to live at home as long as i am a full time student and I am to b cut off of all family support by age 25. As for the laundry cooking and cleaning thing if i told my mother to do this for me i'd prolly get an earload about how a 19 yr old should do all of these things for himself. If my GF doesn't do her brothers laundry for him her whole family gives her an earload!!! If mommy forgets dinner then her son and husband get mad at her? Is it okay for polish men to be so dependent on women?

Also even if i am going 2 school or working a job i get my ass kicked out by age 25 b/c my parents believe its babying to allow a person who is that old to mooch off u!
