But the good thing is that you've only been together for a year so you're still at a stage where you're both in love. She may want to keep the relationship going because of that. It's bad when you've been together longer and you're not that much in love anymore.

Statistics say that if a woman cheats this is usually terminal. When a man cheats, he may be forgiven. It was once explained to me it was to do with men (in pre-history) never being able to know for sure if their offspring are really theirs... and thus any break in the trust is terminal.

Polonia / anyone been to St Petersburg? [51]

St Petersburg is a great city to visit!
I have been there several times. I never felt unsafe but need to take the usual precautions.
A few years ago they celebrated the 300 years of the creation of the city by Peter the Great and the city was all cleaned up and tarted up. It is now quite beautiful. The only snag is the hotels that cost a lot of money and are generally poor quality. I recommend the Moskva which is very near Nevsky prospect, the main artery in the city centre. Go in the Summer and the trip should be quite nice.

My interpretation of this is that she did not want to get involved with you because she was going back to Poland so soon. Then the extra pleasure of the involvement would be cancelled by the stress of getting intimately involved and having to part. This ia always hard for a woman. It is also the reason women sometimes don't want to get sexually involved with you if they think you are going to be appart too much. That is my take.

Here is my penny’s worth from my experience with polish girls (applies to conventionally very good looking women who are also vivacious):

• Tall and elegant. Dressed to kill.
• Cultured personality and easy going.
• Extrovert and really enjoying talking to men and even teasing them.
• Easy to get into relationships.
• Polite but strong willed in their desires.
• A little naïve about the consequences of too many simultaneous relationships, but fast learners and quick correction.
• Stronger than most western man in being able to form and break relationships.
• Drive for independence away from all the help that men usually provide.
• Very truthful about real feelings even if truth is dead scary.
• The above being extremely addictive to western males who love a chase (probably to all males).

To place this in a purely scientific context, I suppose the number of times you can fall in love is related to: how many people you meet that are your type; how successful you are at starting relationships with them; how long these relationships last; and finally how soon you are able to go into the next relationship and thus “wash the overwhelming feelings from the last”. If the answer is high on most counts than you can indeed fall n love a very high number of times… if you have a “problem” with any of these “obstacles” than you will fall in love a much lower number of times.

In the UK it is 30 or 40%. In france it is probably similar. Remember the Female presidential candidate who had 5 chieldreen but was not married... it is the way things are going I expect Poland will just join the club...

UK, Ireland / UK - the land of ultimate trial for Polish couples [13]

I have noticed this great divorse rate. It also applies to Russians and other peoples from the former Soviet Union.
I think this is mostly caused by the women meeting local men. I suppose recent immigrants by definition have a low income and are young. That immediately unbalances the relationship. Low money will give the guys an immediate low status. It does no such thing for the young females. As Slavic females are in high demand, the split is almost inevitable… her status and situation will suffer a great jump by association with a local guy of high income and better connections and local knowledge.

we have to assume that women who cheat do it on average double or triple than men who cheat or that there are some super sluts who sleep eith hundrends of guys without having a relationship and so they raise the proprtion of male cheaters disproportionally.

Well, are these not called prostitutes, and don't they sleep with thousands of men...
even so I don't think women cheat less. They just will not admit to it so readily and may even fool themselves.

To answer your first question; I don't think I look as though I've been hit with an ugly stick. I'm told that I'm very attractive. In addition, we also must give a person credit for personality, along with sincerity and intelligence. I find intelligence VERY sexy!

Regarding your second question. I suppose I would make myself available if the right man were to enter my life.

Well Beckski, I try very hard not to be a sheep, so I went out and bought myself some wolf’s clothing… it is a start, hum? All I need to do is finish reading that user manual “How to be a wolf” and then everything will be fine, body and soul, a real ferocious predator!

Beckski, a woman that is good looking and has a great personality and sincere and intelligent… well that is a lethal weapon! A true predator. I am not sure my wolf’s clothing is thick enough to handle such a bite…it might go through the flesh at once…
