In Poland you can check yours criminal history or history of yours future employees in National Criminal Record. In yours district court you must apply for excerpts from this register and it's costs 50 zlotys. There isn't one kind of law which regulate this matters. There is many branch regulations which deal it. Especially if you want to work in public or finance sector.

I think the best location is in Lodz. It's cheapest city compare to the other big city in Poland and it have a lot of advantages. I live here some about 5 years and I'm sure of it. Things like telephone and internet conection or lighting costs can be the same or comparability in all polish cities but in Lodz you can still rent an office in good price and the costs of stationary will be lower than in Krakow, Warsaw or Wroclaw. Lodz have also a lot of Universities and very good location in centre of Poland.

Hi,

I don't see any problem to open a LLC in UK and work in Poland or for company in Poland. Every company set up in one of UE country can do it's business in other UE country without any limited. Maybe accountancy is easier if the parts are registered in the same country but still it's possible. Self employment is also good idea and you wouldn't have to much problem with registered it.
