Life / Help... only 14 or 15 more weeks to relocate to Poland! [6]

Rather as a means of A) forcing myself to speak Polish and B) So as to garner a true sense of what the average Polish man has to go through in order to make ends meet and to get a clearer sense of life in the frontline

Nothing but admiration for you mate. :)

Where abouts in PL are you going?

UK, Ireland / Polish registering with a UK doctor [8]

lol

It was mother's fault. She bought me an ala Descartes kitchen as a child. :)

In Poland, free treatment depends on you showing you have paid your ZUS health contributions

Thanks for the info.
It's not at all like the british setup then, I stubbed my toe. An ambulance will be with you shortly. You live where? Full riot gear, wait a minute the ones with squareheads and drainpipes are the good guys.

All part of the service and that follows us around, in a non stalker type way. Like a medical American Express, that'll do nicely. :)

UK, Ireland / New BBC series following the lives of immigrants is looking for people [49]

I hope that His Serene Calmness Nick Knowles will be cast in the lead. Without our Nick reaching out to you through the screen I'd have my doubts but, for that reason I'll remain optimisitic. Starting to sound like a dragon here.

Oh and don't forget the MDF clause.

Thanks for the reply earlier TT, appreciated. :)

Love / Why me? (made an idiot of myself at the club - the tall Polish man was married:) [90]

There is no such gravity... Newton just stood on the shoulder of a giant and banged his head on the apple, which just so happened to be innocently growing on a branch. It was Pope who made the whole apple falling thing up, apparently.

Nature and nature's laws lay hid in night;

God said "Sit under a tree" and the apple fell down, alright!

...trust me. :)

Tip of a very big iceberg mate. Best to leave it. :) Less hair pulling involved.

Besides, we all know what happened to the Titanic when that encountered an iceberg.
I just wish those guys doing the wreck dives would find that painting of Kiera Knightley. It'd look great on my wall. :)

hotbod...lol Are you American by chance?

lol

Sadly from his dones and don'ts, i'd say a Brit.

Language / "Whatever" used as slang - Polish equivalent? [29]

Very kind..... Don't mind if I do........Jamesons will do nicely

lol

You're coming on nicely mate!

Typically experts reckon that communication is 80 % body language......rythym, intonation and way that you deliver said words make up another 15%......only 5% of the value of communication is actually made up of the words

Have you been watching Hitch again? :)

Love / Polish Attitude Towards Tantric Sex (& Family Planning) [46]

tantric

It's Judith Chalmer's standing on the street corners, paul xenon stylee, bathed in a red glow. :)
No that's not her skin, for once. She's just moved to Cumbria, near to Seascale I think. Wish you were here. Not half.

Please don't spoil other peoples threads

Not wanting to spoil someone else's thread, but please don't give a bad impression to those first timers by creating a new thread and not adhering to the rules of grammar. Rules are rules after all.

people's threads. They're very possessive so I hear.

Be at Waterloo Station next Friday at around 10am, carry a copy of Die Welt and look out for a leggy blonde carrying a replica Knut under her left arm. :)

Love / Discussion about Polish Men's Tempers [103]

Hopefully you've bought some shares in Ibuprofen. Just so you can make a bit of money whilst you're waiting for the road to Damascus moment.

Love / Discussion about Polish Men's Tempers [103]

i cant and wont find a good guy here

i know there is someone in the USA

im with him for the wrong reasons

thats why im with him.

forget the abuse, he is a decent guy.

So just to recap the salient points.

You are with him because he's a decent guy who hits you, but you don't want to be with him and really want to find someone else in america or on the polish forums, but you can't so you're staying with him instead.

Anyone else suddenly feel like they're on Trisha (Oprah for you of an american persuasion)

Hmm. Good luck, I have a feeling you'll need it.

Love / Discussion about Polish Men's Tempers [103]

Ever heard about the boy that cried wolf?

You decided to tell us you were being hit etc. We all poured out our collective indignation, massaged your ego and said don't go back with him, he'll do it again.

You did your own thing anyway.

He's hit you again.

Now you say you want to leave but also you don't as he's decent blah blah

Fine.

Good luck to you.

Life / Divorce rates in Poland [26]

Enough marriages and you never need to buy a single toaster in your entire life. Just think, with a bit of work, you need never set foot into Argos. Ever. Now there is an incentive. :)

Love / Why me? (made an idiot of myself at the club - the tall Polish man was married:) [90]

Hello.

Is that the Dads To Go imporium?

What I need is a man who doesn't know me and is ready to settle down. Ability to function perfectly while on majority sleepless nights preferable. <furious pencil scribbling>

No, not for that reason. God, is that all you men think about?

[at that point the line went dead]
