Life / Looking to move to poland and needs some tips [5]

I am really interested in moving to poland to the Gdańsk region of poland. . . I am american but my grandparents were displaced by WWII and moved to america. . . I am just here looking for some feedback on if it would be a good idea to make the move..any feed back or tips would be appriciated.

well i am not a polish citizen and i will be looking into getting a green card. . . and my situation is a fair on to say the least. . . Recently a friend of mine said something about the polish civil services and such...here in the states i am a professional firefigher...

Genealogy / Looking for any information on the Surname "Sokolowichski" [6]

Hello..

I am curious about this surname and have done some research and have come up with nothing....I am at a loss becuse i have heard the name Sokolwich and Sokolowski....but nothing with the combination of -wich or -ski together...if anyone can spread any light it would be greatly appriciated..

Genealogy / Looking for any information on the Surname "Sokolowichski" [6]

well i was told that the lastname was sokolowichski...and was later shortened to sokolowich, it may have been a typo but i was told it wasn't lol... i was curious to see if there even was a sokolowichski but more then likely it may just be sokolowich and i am not certain.

i do know the origin of my family was the gdansk region.
