Koach 16 | 128 15 Oct 2007 / #2I have someone in my tree named Sokolowski. Could yours be a typo or something? Or do you know for a fact that is the last name?
OP Patryk83 2 | 5 16 Oct 2007 / #3well i was told that the lastname was sokolowichski...and was later shortened to sokolowich, it may have been a typo but i was told it wasn't lol... i was curious to see if there even was a sokolowichski but more then likely it may just be sokolowich and i am not certain.i do know the origin of my family was the gdansk region.
LorieK 1 | 15 18 Oct 2007 / #4Hi - My family name was Sokolowitz - in which the "witz" sounds like "wich". We are desperately trying to find any connection we can, to no avail. Our g-grandparents and great-great uncle came over around 1870 time frame to Milwaukee. Lorie
Grzegorz_ 51 | 6,161 26 Oct 2007 / #5well i was told that the last name was Sokolowichski...Rather not. That simply doesn't sound right. Maybe SokoĊowicki.
z_darius 14 | 3,968 26 Oct 2007 / #6As Grzegorz_ says, Sokolowichski is simply not possible in PolishPerhaps sokolowicze(w)ski?
