UK, Ireland / What is it with black culture in the UK? [22]

dtaylor5632

I'm not usually one to judge people by race, but more and more I hear news about knife crime, murders and gang culture in the larger cities. Any answers?

How is any of that a Black Culture Issue?

And how do you even begin to define Black?

People from Africa will have a different culture to those from the west Indies for example.

As for knife crimes - they keep reporting stabbings in the news all the time so young people think they need a knife to protect themselves, which in turn leads to even more knife crimes and so on and so forth...

UK, Ireland / Polish girls in England. [33]

I'm not really sure what the Original poster's point was about this thread but I've met several Polish Girls living in London and all have been very friendly, down to earth, hard working and very nice people to get to know.

In fact all the Polish people I've met have been really nice. I don't like to generalise about an entire nation of people but so far every person I've met from Poland has been really nice.

UK, Ireland / 13,000 Polish births this year, in the UK [180]

The cost of a birth plus post natal care is tens of thousands of pounds, are you telling me one pole has paid tens of thousands of tax in one or two years.

NO we brits who have paid tax all our lives pay for these poles. we pay for them through the nhs, housing benefit, child benefit, education system etc etc.

not to mention poles get their tax rebated to them when they leave their country.

There are a lot of people from abroad coming into the UK to do the jobs the Brits themselves either can't do or won't do.

I went to hospital a while back and virtually every nurse in the hospital in which I was also born in was from the Philippines - nursing isn't very well paid - they're not undercutting UK nurses they're simply filling in positions that Brits don't want to fill and the government isn't encouraging Brits to go into those professions

UK, Ireland / Recruitment agencies advertise for Polish only workers [162]

Another way to also look at it is in something I saw on TV

They were interviewing a bar owner in London and talking about having Polish Staff working there and he said quite simply, when he employed Brits they looked shabby, slacked off, turned up to work late, took lots of sicks days, etc.

He said when he employed people from Poland they came into work on time, their clothes were nicely ironed, they were polite to customers, didn't take sick days, always reliable, etc

Basically their entire work ethic was totally different
