Genealogy / Szewczyk, Toczko/Toczek, Kurzydlo family from Wara POLAND [38]

Those names do not have any meaning, but that really doesn't mean there is no connection. My great grandfathers name was Jan or Jon Toczek. He was married to a Maria or Maria Szewczyk. There is my grandmother Sophia, her sister Carolina, and 2 sons Michal and Nicolas. Do those name mean any thing to you? Carolina married a man named Kurdzylo, they had a daughter Janina. I have written letters to some there, I wrote to an Alina and Kazmierz Toczek in Nozdrzec. Is there a Greek Catholic church there? My grandma was baptised in a greek catholic church. Her baptism papers are written in Latin so I am getting bits and pieces off of it in my search.

On my grandmothers baptism papers it has parochia Htudno, does anyone know if this is a town or what it may be?

On my grandmothers baptism papers this is what is written
Deanery Dynow, Diocese Przemysl, District Brzozow, Parochia Hludno. and she was baptised Greek Catholic, 4 August 1897. If anyone knows where this church is I would appreciate any information. I truly appreciate all the help I have gotten from here, it has helped me in my search.

On the baptism papers it also has Wara as her home (domus) in latin. All the other information was listed at the top of the baptism papers. This is all written in Latin so I am having quite a bit of trouble . Between the polish and the latin I am going in circles. I am ashamed of myself for not learning more from my grandmother. But when your a kid somethings don't seem as important (you take them for granted) as they do later in life.

Genealogy / Maria Szewczyk family from Wara [6]

I am looking for my grandmothers mothers family. On her Baptism papers, from 1897, it states her mothers maiden name as Maria Szewczyk.

Maybe they don't get Baptised, but it, states at the very top Baptismi. The paper is in Latin, but it distinctly says Baptismi. Unless Baptismi is Latin for Christened. The whole paper is in latin so It is hard to translate. I've gotten domus: Wara, Diocesis: Przemsyl,

Districtus: Brozozow, Decantus: Dynow, Parochia: Htudno. The paper is all written in Latin, not Polish. But that is all the information I can get off of it. I have the names, but the rest is impossible to read.

Genealogy / Last name Driezic [6]

My grandathers name was Stefan Driezic. His Declaration of Intention papers say he was from Odryzyn, Poland. Would anyone know if there are any other Driezic's left. He came to the US in 1914 with a cousin. I would appreciate anything anyone would know.

Actually the spelling is on his Declaration of Intention Papers. The name is also written in his handwritting, in ink across the top of the picture. I cannot find anything about him at all, he never liked to talk about his life. It could possibly be Dziedic. He had a brother, and 2 step-sisters. Is Odryzyn in Poland? Is there any information about Dziedzic?
