Szewczyk, Toczko/Toczek, Kurzydlo family from Wara POLAND

I am looking for my grandmothers family. She came to the US in 1914. Her mothers maiden name was Maria Szewczyk, and her fathers name was Jan Toczko. She had a sister Karolina Kurzydlo, and a brother who died I think in 1972, named Michael, who left a wife and 3 children. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it. I would like to find the church where she was baptised so I could possibly find her family with their assistance.

The easiest way is to go to Cemetery in Nozdrzec village and find their graves in the day of the death (1 - November) and ask local peoples for their relatives, or simply wait for them around the grave

In Poland there could be many villages called WARA (I mean WARA - Subcarpathian Voivodeship)

The WARA is in Province Podkarpackie. What is Subcarpathian Voiodeship?

The WARA I am speaking of is the town above NIEWISTKA. Do you know of any churches in that area? I am writing the church to get some information, any information, I can get about my family. My cousins lived in ZABRZE, and WARA.

Thank you so much for your help. Is your mother still in NIEWISTKA?

Listen this! I live in Brzozow - a city where many peoples from villages like WARA moved in, I was told by my mother that Kurzydło family from Brzozow originate from WARA!!!! I know well Jasiek Kurzydło - his mother came to Brzozów from Wara! I will give you telephone number later and you will call and ask:

If Karolina Kurzydlo is a grandmother of her? MOTHER of Jasiek Kurzydło is probably a GRANDCHILD OF YOUR GRANDMOTHER SISTER - KAROLINA KURZYDłO

I will give you a telephone number later, be patience!

I want to be ANONYMOUS. I have found a phone number in Brzozow, Podkarpackie named Kazimierz Kurzydło:

0048134341706

I'm not sure 100% if they originate from WARA. Call and ask them: if they have relatives in Wara and know Karolina Kurzydło.

I'm awaiting your respond.

P.S. and of course Province Podkarpackie is Subcarpathian Voivodeship [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subcarpathian_Voivodship - go there and see Brzozów - a place where your close family live]

I can give you address of Kazimierz Kurzydło but I'm not sure if he is relative to you, wait a moment.

There are no Toczko around?

There are many Toczko's in Brzozów but I don't know how many of them have relatives in WARA.

I have this address from WARA (Located by phone book):

I found a web site that helped me write letters into Polish, and to translate polish into english. Translating Polish into english is hard because of all the different letters.

I have old pictures of family members with writing on the back, so I am trying to translate them. Are you from a big town or the country? I have looked at the pictures from the Polish website and and Poland is beautiful.

Well thank you. You have been big help to me.

Hello, My gradparents were born in Nodrzec Poland. His name was Walenty, he had a brother named Michael, and one named Jon. There were several other brothers. I have his baptism record from Nozdrzec. Do the names Baran and Gierula have any meaning to you. When he came to the US he was traveling with them and they were listed as cousins and friends. I have pictures of the church in Nozdrzec and a few of the cemetary. We spelled our name Toczek, but I have seen it spelled a number of ways. Do you think there is a connection?

forgot to mention, there are still Toczek families in Nozdrzec

Those names do not have any meaning, but that really doesn't mean there is no connection. My great grandfathers name was Jan or Jon Toczek. He was married to a Maria or Maria Szewczyk. There is my grandmother Sophia, her sister Carolina, and 2 sons Michal and Nicolas. Do those name mean any thing to you? Carolina married a man named Kurdzylo, they had a daughter Janina. I have written letters to some there, I wrote to an Alina and Kazmierz Toczek in Nozdrzec. Is there a Greek Catholic church there? My grandma was baptised in a greek catholic church. Her baptism papers are written in Latin so I am getting bits and pieces off of it in my search.

On my grandmothers baptism papers it has parochia Htudno, does anyone know if this is a town or what it may be?

On my grandmothers baptism papers this is what is written
Deanery Dynow, Diocese Przemysl, District Brzozow, Parochia Hludno. and she was baptised Greek Catholic, 4 August 1897. If anyone knows where this church is I would appreciate any information. I truly appreciate all the help I have gotten from here, it has helped me in my search.

I think I found your ancestral village of Hludno on a map site. Ironically, it's the next village southwest to my familial village of Lubno.

On the baptism papers it also has Wara as her home (domus) in latin. All the other information was listed at the top of the baptism papers. This is all written in Latin so I am having quite a bit of trouble . Between the polish and the latin I am going in circles. I am ashamed of myself for not learning more from my grandmother. But when your a kid somethings don't seem as important (you take them for granted) as they do later in life.

sorry, the name was Jan. I do not recognize the other names on your list. My grandfather's parents names were Wojciech and Marianna. The church in Nozdrzec which I got the information from is Roman Catholic.
