Love / Is sex with Polish guys different to sex with English guys? [173]

in my (pitifully limited) (honest) experience, there is a different ENERGY to Polish guys, and they are more ... hmm ... how can i put it ... well, more chauvinist, in a way, but somehow more game, and certainly very warm and sort of caring, because they have a word for it in their language, and we don't!!! we have 'give someone a hug/cuddle' - but that is crap compared to a proper verb for it - przytulic. Interesting why there is a word for this in Polish and not in English, nie?

My husband is polish, but I can say he's definitely more chauvenistic than any western males I have had interest in. As far as sex, lets just say he's really prudish and plays a lot of games, hard to understand what he wants or likes. On the other hand western or germanic males are pretty honest and open about everything comparatively. He's also cold, whereas in my experience, westerners are more warm. He tells the truth if it suits him, and lies about little things that could be embarassing. Very pigheaded or stubborn, will not admit a lie even if caught and presented with evidence. "I didn't drink all the milk"... etc...

What do you mean by more game?

News / Poland - a foreigner and a native Pole - different point of view...? [24]

I am not from Poland, but I have seen pictures and I think Krakow is beautiful. I would like to go there sometime. I do not understand the hatred for Gorals by other Polish people. It's my understanding that Krakow is a Goral city, and other Poles say that Gorals are backwards and stupid?

Love / Polish men vs German men: Who is hotter? [513]

German men are cute and attractive in a more distanced or polite way, my husband is Polish and he's like the sexiest looking man on earth.

Maybe the Germans look better from an aesthetic point of view, but somehow there's something sexy about Polish men, maybe its the shape of the face and lips.

Polish people don't quite match up exactly to the western standards of beauty but somehow manage to look nice anyway... Poland and Germany both have their share of attractive blond men. I know which person I like best- but on the whole I don't know what to think, I can't make up my mind. They're both nice in different ways.

Polish model Jarek Pietka

He's nice, but let's see a blond version of him...

Help me make up my mind :D

Law / Does anyone have experience of getting a karta pobytu from Krakow? [13]

Terri, I think you should probably just get a polish passport. It would be a lot easier, then you could just show them you're polish. Unless you're trying to evade military service? You don't forfeit your UK citizenship thereby either.

Life / How to proceed after getting a gift from my spouses grandmother? [4]

My spouse's grandmother who I have never met lives in Poland and she sent me some jewelry in the mail. I really liked it and want to show my appreciation. How should I thank her? I don't speak polish. Do I send a gift or write a thank you letter? Should I invite her to my home? I thought to send a gift but I have no idea what an older polish lady would like or want. We also hope that one day she would invite us to stay with her for a holiday, but spouse says that this is a complicated situation, and that we would have to be invited before we could even think of going. Any thoughts?

Life / "I love you" in Polish culture... [36]

I think it should be restricted for very few people, and also get creeped out if a family member tells me they love me. It's not to be used lightly, definitely.
