Life / Level of English among the Poles? [64]

Ok. I have a white collar job. I've never learnt english at any schools. I like the lingo so since i was 16 i tried to translate lyrics from my fav music. That's how I got some basics. Now after a few years in UK ...I'm still not happy about level of my English but i can freely communicate in English. Some of my english friends saying I'm well spoken, but I think they are trying to be nice.

Sorry mate. If your visa is expired, there's nothing else you can do at the moment. Unless you want to be an illegal immigrant. I'm a foreigner in UK, but believe me or not I wouldn't put myself in position that you're right now. You should think it thru before before you came out of your house. Rules are for the reason - that's why i didn't come to UK before 1.05.2004.

It is an option to be honest!! Actually, few days ago some english employment agency sent me across this absolutely fantastic job opportunity in Ontario for 65 grand a yr. Probably they'd like to get rid of me for some reason :):):)

I know what reason: I don't suit a typical "bloody polak" character in UK, I don't take any benefits, i didn't take any loan for a property in Poland, I'm paying all taxes and rest of that sh1ts....

Family values - a rare thing among lower class families, higher class the better.


Mulitinational society, better drivers' manners (not skills), strong racism, professional ppl are way nicer than Polish profs, poor general knowledge (geography, maths, politics and anything else referred to countries outside of UK),

crap food(except Yorkshire pudding with gravy), weather (I like mild winters though)..hmm.. that's it ..at the moment :)
