Love / So... How did you meet your Polish girlfriend/wife? [30]

I may have to settle for an American girl who is high maintenance and can't cook good polish food.

High maintenance? Interesting comment. What makes an American woman high maintenance and not a Polish woman?

That sounds just like my ex-boyfriend! He always expected expensive gifts for birthdays, holidays, etc. and he would get upset if he didn't get them. And all he ever thought about was himself. And I always had to pay constant attention to him because the moment I didn't, he would feel rejected and abandoned. And the worst part was that if I didn't give him my full attention for even just a moment then another girl would come along and steal his attention. It was like having a child. American men are high maintenance, too, believe me.

Polonia / I'd like to go to Mexico... [47]

rafik,

Mexico has gotten so bad recently with the crime problems that people aren't going there anymore. Foreigners disappear there all the time. People also get kidnapped and held for ransom. But if you really want to go there, make sure it's with a tour group. I would suggest a cruise that departs from somewhere else and goes along the Mexican coast and makes stops at popular towns.

As far as the weather is concerned, it gets very hot in the summer months and extremely humid so it's better to go before the heat. There are also sometimes hurricanes during hurricane season.

Foreigners also end up in Mexican jails for stupid reasons and can't get out or they end up dead.

personally i agree with what roz said that only those seeking problems get them unless you are very unlucky or visit places like irak afganistan ect.

Baja California is different than the rest of Mexico. If you're going to Baja, that's another story. But if you're going to other parts of Mexico, crime is a serious issue and any tourist is a target, not just those who are looking for trouble. The key is to read the warnings from the Mexican government and follow them, like not getting into certain colored taxi's, etc.

is it not the city where hundreds of women went missing and even a few years of CIA investigation didn't solve the mistery?

I think that was Juarez. The last report I saw claimed that these women were stolen for their internal organs which were sold on the market. Anything for money I guess.

A lot of people move to Mexico or retire there and they're fine. I guess it's just mainly certain cities that are bad, just like in any country.

Language / need help to spell a name of a famous Polish singer.... [120]

I am so embarrassed right now with all this talk. :)

I'll take bolo, you take sledz. Then we can switch around.

Switch around? That sounds very creative! Hmm. Okay!

Why? Old age too?

Old age? If you're old, then I'm old, too.

As you presented it on the picture, saliva is being produced until old age...

Saliva? I like the way you think.
