Hi there. We are arriving at 01.45am on Thurs 4th Sept to Katowice airport. We are flying from Doncaster with Whizz air. The transfer bus to Krakow is at 04.15am!! Then it takes 2 hours to Krakow.

Is anyone else going at that time and would like to share a taxi with us 2? We are staying at the Janexim guestrooms in the centre of Krakow

going back to the airport is easier-17.00 pick up from the bus station to the airport for £22 for the both of us (thats Sun 7th Sept)

please contact me if you know where we can get a cheap taxi from (see quote above) and/or you are travelling at the same time as us and would like to share

Hi and thanks for your response! What a pity our dates do not coincede! No I haven't stayed there. Its cheap, £118 for 4 nights for 2 of us B+B ensuite.

We stayed at B+B La Fontaine 2 weeks ago and that was average.


Hi again! Where did you get that price from for transfers? Is that a taxi? If it is please let me know, as this rate we are gunna have to wait for the 1st Whizz bus to Krakow at 04.15

Hi. I have been told several times that Whizz air DO have excellent departure and landing time. Infact they often arrive early, so I am told. I havenot travelled with them yet. Where I am parking my car in the UK commented that they often land early?

Yeah I'd looked on the website for the airport and saw that the Post Office is open. Doesn't look promising for the rest of the shops though.

You have to be kiddiing!! The post office!! Their rate for Zloty is about 3.80 to the £ and Euro's are about 1.19 to the £

Best place in the UK is Kensington Money Exchange online. Zloty was 4.12 to the £ last week and Euro's 1.24 today.

I use this company all of the time. You pay into either Lloyds/ RBS and then its with you next day by Special Delivery.

Wizz air cancelling flights from and to Poland!

On Trip Advisor-Katowice forum there is disturbing news of this airline cancelling flights with no forewarning.

We are flying with them ( well its to be hoped!) on 3rd Sept to Katowice from Doncaster. Someone flying back into Doncaster last week from Poland, said that Wizz air had cancelled again a flight out to Katowice.

Anyone any experience of Wizz air cancelling flights?

The other worrying thing is that Wizz air do not have a cheap number to call and that people have found themselves stuck in another country with no assistance from anyone.They cant get sense out of Wizz air on the phones and there's no one at the smaller airports to help them either. Apparently, it costs up to a £1 a minute to ring Wizz air and people have had bills for £50 ringing them when flights have been cancelled. Its scary reading some of the reviews on this company. Seems that the customer relations is appaulling and do not expect a response to complaints or claims!

Does anyone out there know any alternative numbers for Wizz air that they are willing to share? I know that people on Krakow/Katowice Trip Advisor would be more than happy with any response! I would too incase the worse happens to us!!

We arrive 01.45am on 4th Sept from Doncaster and when we booked our Wizz air transfers-says 02.15am pick up, not 04.15am. Its £22 pp return from Katowice to Krakow.

I know what you are saying but honestly, when we booked coach transfer on our confirmation its says 02.15 departure. It didn't say that on the timetable;said 04.15. I am not complaining though, means that we dont have to hang around now!

Thanks telefonitika. I emailed the bus company as I was still concerned myself this morning and asked about the timetable saying 04.15 and my confirmation saying 02.15-their response;

New departure time is 02.15.

So I have to trust that it is and will take my emails etc with me.
