czesc. my boyfriend's Polish and before i left for my holiday, i bought a pair of rings. i kept the other for him and wore the other one. basically, the rings that i bought are commitment rings. there are no special designs for commitment rings, unless you want it as "bespoke." if you want it engraved, you will have to allow 2 to 3 days before it gets done. usually, when rings are engraved, your name should appear in her ring plus a special date and vice versa. i sang to my boyfriend that one special night and carefully slipped the ring in his finger after my song. he didn't get upset or complained about anything after that - like - maybe i broke some polish tradition or that i have probably disrespected the polish culture based on what i did. he loves our rings and has showed it to everyone that he knows including his family in Poland. they said it's beautiful and that he should just make room for the wedding ring.

my polish friend, kasia, told me that if you wanna have a baby in poland, you will have to set a side a good amount of money to get a really good hospital service. otherwise, the polish nurses would just ignore you. isn't that so traumatic for mothers who's just given birth? if you're a nurse, just try and think how you would feel if you were on that bed giving birth and the same time your other foot's already in the grave. i will definitely take kasia's opinion as a warning.

i tried milk soup already - it was with pasta. my boyfriend made it for me. it was alright really but definitely nothing gastronomically spectacular. for people who love to drink milk since they were toddlers, this should be fine =)

for breakfast, we usually have sandwiches. so that's bread, a lot of butter, majonez, ser/cheese (edamski. yum!), mustard, some tomatoes and lettuce. the sandwiches either goes with a cold cut or sausages are eaten separately, like kabanos (yum!) for lunch, it's usually meat/chicken/fish with tomato sauce and potatoes/bread, e.g. pulpety (meatballs with tomato sauce). for supper, it is similar to lunch but something much lighter or you might opt for just soup and bread. tip, you should never run out of bread, butter and kielbasa at home.

with regard to who does what at home, i think that would totally depend on what your partner grew up with (culture), your partner's occupation and personality. my boyfriend's a chef so he does not really mind cooking for me but i try and do most of it because he usually comes home exhausted. both his parents can cook but i assume that his mum is in charge of cooking because his dad's always on call.

you are such a kill joy. you're answer is logical but somehow practically incorrect. so, when do we actually get the extra day huh? we should get it by the end of the year, don't you think so, because the earth finishes to revolve around the sun after a year? so, it should take one extra day to actually complete its 4th revolution. and our anniversary was last april 9, you see =P
