I need some help for my friend who is going out to Poland shortly to look for property in the Olsztyn area. Does anyone know of any English speaking estate agents in that area?

Any help with buying a small flat in that area would be really helpful.

My friend is looking to buy a small flat in Olsztyn, can anyone help with which parts of the town are best, also does anyone know of any good estate agents in that are, especially if they speak english as my friend does not.

So far, my friend has managed to arrange an appointment with an English speking estate agent, but he also has the chance to buy a 2 bed flat in Olsztyn, for a bit more than his budget will stretch to. if he does go for this how should he proceed? Where does he find an English speaking notary? How much do they charge? Is it possible to find an agent to manage the property/collect rent?

Any info would be great?

Question for those of you who have purchased property in Poland.
My friend is hoping to buy an apartment in Poland. He has done all his homework, but now comes the issue of how to pay for the property.

He has cash, how does he arrange to get this transfered over into Polish Zloty, and where can he get the best rate???

thanks for all the feedback...more investigating is required as my friend obviously wants the best exchange rate possible especially as he is already buying a property over his budget.
