UK, Ireland / UK HATRED TOWARDS POLES GROWING? [122]
To be honest with you i would not say it is either growing or on the decrease, the people who did not like the Poles (immigrants) in the first place will not have changed their minds. People of that opinion are not going to have their minds changed either, you will find that its not just Poles they pick on, its all immigrants.
There will always be a percentage of society that dislikes certain other elements of society, on the other hand the majority of people are more than willing to have people come to the UK. The anti-polish feeling is probably part of the bigger picture which is 'anti-immigration' and in some cases people are just frustrated at the lack of a decent immigration policy in my country.
There are those of us who are intellegent enough to realise that it is not the fault of the visitors to the UK, it is in fact the fault of the government for not putting in place a decent immigration policy. I do feel sorry for the membe states of the EU, who by law are legally allowed to move freely throughout the UK.
Personally i have not problems with Poles or any other immigrants who come to the country, i will not pigeon hole people on their nationality, its just not the done thing. However what i will say is that i do not want people in this country who do not benefit the UK as a whole, if your coming here to work or to complete your education then the doors are wide open. If on the otherhand your coming to spounge of the state then you can do a 180 and go back to where you came from, regardless of your nationality, religion, origin etc etc.
I think that the 'hate toward Poles' is actually a 'dislike of mass immigration' the Poles along with the rest of the immigrants (from where ever they come from) all fall into the category of 'immigrants' and therefore are targeted by certain members of society.
Conclusion: Its not a 'hate of Poles' its a 'dislike of immigrants'
