Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

i'm not trying to put you down in anyway but i think that is obvious to anybody who is not brainwashed by religious rubbish. Sex along with war are the two most natural acts to the human race, you really think they want to stick around till their mid 20's before they have sex, yeah right :):)

The promotion of protection is much more effective, especially if you couple the teenage pregnancy with STI/STD's.

Love / What are your views (or Polish views) on abortion? [102]

It's important to reduce the number of abortions. And the best way to do it is to make people use contraception

thats all well and good, the thing is though, how do you do that?? many governments have tried and failed to get the kids to bag up before they go in. In the ideal world what you have written is correct, however we don't live in that world, saying it is one thing implementing it is another.

News / Madonna to Visit Oswiecim [15]

why not just let her get on with whatever she wants to do with her children, who cares or should care if she does or does not go anywhere she does or does not decide on. Let her and her children live their lives.

To be honest if i ever had children and my daughter was pregnant, if she were under the age of 16 and i knew about it, i would have it aborted. No 'CHILD' is prepared or ready to look after a baby, yes they may be able to 'create' the baby but no way are they ready to look after it.

After the age of 16, then the decision is hers and her partners (if he is about) and nothing to do with me, i would support her either way she decided.

Love / Looking for Polish websites for singles [8]

are you looking for Poles in Poland because you live there?? or are you looking for Poles in Poland because you are planning to move there or because your looking for them to move to your country???

Polish people are Polish people where ever they are, a Pole in Poland is Polish, a Pole in the UK is Polish.

If you copy this link: polish dating .com.pl then you will be able to find Polish singles from Poland :)

I'm happy to see your asking about websites that cater for what you need, rather than leaving a stupid advert here

good luck

UK, Ireland / UK HATRED TOWARDS POLES GROWING? [122]

Celtic fans are acclaimed as the best fans in the world after the UEFA cup Final in Seville

you were playing Sevilla not Rangers :) anybody can be well behaved if the day goes well :)

Rangers fans trash Manchester while singing God Save the Queen after their UEFA cup final in Manchester

the trouble was not started because the Rangers fans decided that was that, it was about the organisational fook up

"Real football fans", indeed

you seem about as biased about this as you do anything else you talk about to do with Ireland.

Stop lecturing me against sectarianism when you, yourselves, have never had a chance to practise what you preach

the difference is my man i stand from a much more neutral point than yourself, i'm not into all that rubbish that you seem to be full of. I'm not lecturing you on anything, i didn't even potrait Celtic in a bad light, in fact i didn't even paint a rosey picture of Rangers. You seem to be the one interested in 'sectarianism' not me :)

Prod

now you see that is the sort of rollox that should not be involved in football, its people like you on the Celtic side and those on the Rangers side, who spoil the 'football' for the real fans with your 'religious' spat.

Why not leave it out at the football, if you want to be idiots then just do it behind the name of your religion/country and be done with it, leave football alone :)

as for 'prod' you think i've never heard that before :)

No cares what the hell you think

i think that is part of the problem, he thinks we do care, i'm not Polish or Irish and am not really involved in the slav/irish argument here but i can safely say that on a Polish forum surely you are going to come accross Poles (slavs) so what is the point of being here if you don'tl ike them unless your just going to try and cause trouble.

I'm a Rangers fan but i don't go and watch Celtic games 'just to see the enemy at work' lol, in fact i don't even see Celtic as the 'enemy' they are just a rival football team. Like Inter VS Milan, Man Utd V Man City, River Plate V Boca Juniors, its a game of football played between two teams.

In the same way the Poles and the Irish are just two nations in a world of many, to call either side the enemy would be talking in the extreme!!

Oh good god, mongo slavs unable to find a rebuttal amongst them so resort to accusations again.

It's like dealing with that retarded Pole in work, she should be nowhere near a computer, even a mop is too complicated for her.

i don't know what is more stupid, the slavs you accuse, or yourself for coming onto a forum that is about 'Poland' lol.

If you don't like them then why don't you take a hike?? nobody is keeping you here

what on earth is going on in this thread??? its turning into a total gang fcuk!!!!! Why is it that every thread these days needs to turn into a senseless slanging match, where you try and score cheap points of each other rather than talking about the topic???

Talk about foolish.

to be honest with you and no offence, maybe its just bad luck, it all seems to centre around you. Whether its the way you rub people up i don't know, every thread you enter, touch, post on just goes to pot. At first i thought you were just passionate and had strong opinions and passion like myself, however it just seems you argue for the sake of arguing while at the same time trying to offend and rub people up the wrong way.

I think i've already tried to ask you some questions/give some explanations about why you are like you are on this forum, you totally ignored it for some reason. Probably because it was close to home, maybe because you had not reasonable answer (something that didn't take the form of a rant)

Everyone has a right to speak, everybody has a right to an opinion, this does not include being rude, offensive or obnoxious. I'm not trying to wind you up, actually the opposite trying to both understand and calm you at the same time. As i said before it seems like you have a chip for each shoulder and are too caught up in history. Take a step back and aim through the sights instead of shooting from the hip aimlessly.

Thnx

which is exactly what i say to the Poles who say that Poland is much better than the UK, 'why are you here then?? you can always go home??' i don't understand why people live in a country that they don't rate as well as their own.

Life / How do Polish people see Deaf people in Poland? [14]

There was a conversation about that not so long ago on LBC, that people - especially various services don't treat impaired with due respect and care. Many callers were furious..

i think sometimes in life people often just think about themselves and themselves only, its a natural characteristic as they say 'you have to look out for number 1' but there is no harm in making sure that others are looked after too. I mean i have my life to get on with but i'm more than happy to help the old lady who drops her walking stick, or push the car of somebody who has broken down.

It's kind of nerve-wrecking going to another country and wonder how they would treat you.

To be honest i never really thought about it when i set off for a holiday/sports event/visit/ etc etc, it was more of an after thought when i got back. Usually other short sighted/partially sighted/blind people would ask me how the different nations reacted to me. A lot of the time i found that people just acted as though i was just another usual tourist (the best way) you do get a few who are either side of the nice/nasty line though.

I can lip read English.

well at least you can lip read in English, even if you cannot lip read in Polish. I'm not sure how you would learn another language though, i know you could learn it 'written' but to speak/lip read it would be almost impossible?? or would it??

I'm just a little hesitant because Sign Language is my first language. The communication barrier. Unless they use gestures quite a bit.

can you lip read?? i knnow that a lot of deaf people learn how to lip read at school, i assume you speak or know Polish, although i'm not sure how easy it would be to lip read Polish!!!!

Life / How do Polish people see Deaf people in Poland? [14]

you know thats a very interesting question, i'm not sure how the Polish view the handicaped/disabled or whatever you want to call people like me and you, lol. I have been wanting to ask the same about the reaction to having short sight.

In the UK i would say that the GP treat deaf/blind people with a respect and sometimes can be a bit patronising (you can put up with that as you know they are trying to be nice). Having been to a lot of nations around the world, the reaction is different, i have been ignored, i've been offered help etc etc that is beyond belief, the best reaction i like is treated as an equal/normal, lol.

I'm not sure but i would say the reactions are pretty similar for the deaf too.

"reading between the lines"

well as all i can see is text on my screen, not your face, the way you are talking to me and the body language etc etc sometimes its a little hard in just black and white. Anyway we should not have to read in between the lines if your post made your point fully

To qualify my earlier post for you.

well you obviously didn't do a good job with the first one.

Indeed there was. :)

don't get all high and mighty with me, its not worth it, i really don't care how brilliant you think you are

Certainly, the media, when addressing such issues, never fail to include Polish migrants in their stories. Thus they reinforce negative sterotyping.

first off how was i meant to draw from that, the media point of view is followed/not followed by only the stupid and ignorant before you mentioned it in your reply to my post. There is nothing wrong with my understanding of English i just cannot look into future posts :)

That was the point I made. The manipulative and the ignorant use media coverage of economic migrants to incite & pepetuate hatred of migrant minorities. As such they are not "toally different elements".

no no you made the point 'here' about the 'manipulative and the ignorant' use the media, not before.

Which part of my post did you not understand, or was not sufficently explicit for you?

Perhaps, I should be asking, " What version of English are using today?". I will try to accommodate you.

so there was no need for that :)

yeah if your talking about the stupid, however the majority do not do this so cannot be counted as the same element

All Poles claim Poland is better than the UK and Ireland. If they are getting so much abuse, why not go home?

I must admit, they do say this, i give them the option of going home and then the conversation seems to stop there :):) Poles are proud people and are sometimes blinded by this fact, If Poland was that great then there would have been no need to flood into the UK like they did when they became part of the EU family.

Certainly, the media, when addressing such issues, never fail to include Polish migrants in their stories. Thus they reinforce negative sterotyping.

the media can bend anything which way they like, they do not need the input of the UK population to do that, do not think the people of the UK thing what the UK media is writting. They are two totally different elements.

people who actually live in the UK at present.

well i live in the UK and i stand by my original post, while Poles may recieve grief, it does not centre around their nationality, its just because they are a part of a group 'immigrants' and are in the firing line along with the rest.

I'd qualify it only slightly by saying that some seem to have a dislike of the Poles

I would agree with that, there are always going to be a select few (Minority) who attack the Poles for being Polish, i was not denying that but talking about the main reason for a high percentage of the abuse/attacks.
