News / Poland's Future Includes Fewer Poles, More Foreigners [324]

I believe human's are gifted. All humans. And the true magic lies in appreciation of such gifts... and enjoying their benefits with a welcoming attitude.

The problems ofcourse... they come with it. But we should tackle and manage to overcome the problems and establish good understanding and lasting development, which would benefit both of us.. and make us closer...eventually one nation...towards a common goal.

Whoa...what a lefty-goodytwoshoes-totallyPC-view of the world!

Any contact with reality lately?

It's exactly people like you which brought this mess to western europe countries...time is high for a change of course!

News / Poland's Future Includes Fewer Poles, More Foreigners [324]

I dont think Poland is moving towards 'westernization'. We dont have to borrow from west... we can have our own way of life. Not to say you have wrong, but I think its just not suitable for us.

Well...praising the immigrants in other countries and how great it is and a post later praying the same fate won't befell your own home country is surely one of the most hypocritical things I read here on PF!

But let me tell you some easy truth.....the moment Poland get's richer THEY WILL COME! And you will soon faced with all the great things the masses of immigrants will bring with them, all their inventions and cuisine, and you can adore them from home!

:)

PS: You know...if a country nowadays could choose between only "good" immigration (means valuable, skilled workers who assimilate without problems) and the gritty truth, don't you think they would have done so???

Why do you think Poland will be different to GB, Germany or France (or every western country for that part)?
You are in the EU now and as long as the EU doesn't close the borders and build a real big wall (or changes the laws at least) THEY WILL COME after you next!!!

If it wasn't for the Indian's we would still be using Roman Numerals and would our mathematicians exceeded in science the way they did if it were not for the number '0' ? What faith would the majority of us have if it wasn't for the asians and europeans travelling miles to bring Christianity to the island. What about Einstein...need I say more.

We would have managed, believe me!

No. 318 "City of Gdańsk" Polish Fighter-Reconnaissance Squadron (Gdański)

Crap! Danzig was a fully german town at that point, with nearly 98 percent Germans! Why not a squadron "Munich" or a squadron "Berlin"???A*ssholes!

On every one shot down Polish plane, Poles shot down six German planes (6:1),

I really wonder where are the famous polish fighter aces???
They must have chucked up quite a number compared to the clumsy Germans!

Where are they???

A melting pot makes for an interesting community.

That viewpoint comes mostly from immigrants...
It's always the rich, white, western countries which are forced to "melt"!

but it takes effort, patience, open mindedness to learn to understand and appreciate…..

Learning other cultures doesn't equates automatically to appreciating them (Turks in Berlin for example...I know about them and I could do without them)

And nobody should be forced to "learn" other cultures at home...

News / What Poland has with USA global schemes? [32]

Well...back to the beginning!
The US isn't at hand from the start...actually it's a crap deal. Neither can Poland somehow "save" the US (nor is it expected from her) nor will the US be the only NATO member in the near should an attack at Poland happen.

And the US public will ask why should we, let the europeans handle that...

I think when rockets fly the time for summits is over...
On the other hand what do you expect the US to do?
(I think we can safely assume that the missile shield will not be really helpful)

OK, the US will jump to Poland's rescue in the event of a Russian attack,

Well...the NATO isn't only the US and in case of an attack on Poland the US will be not the first coming to aid...think logistically...it will be Germany! :):):)

News / Abkhazia and South Ossetia are independent states now! Poland reaction? [236]

wow Bratwurst boy, did you read some of the other articles in SpiegelOnline? this is probably the best reporting on this Georgian conflict I've seen so far.

Between others it was this interview:

spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,556739,00.html

which cleared some background and had set me against Saakashvili...

I wouldn't expect to much from the West GeoLawyer...

The West Begins to Doubt Georgian Leader

spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,578273,00.html

Five weeks after the war in the Caucasus the mood is shifting against Georgian President Saakashvili. Some Western intelligence reports have undermined Tbilisi's version of events and there are now calls on both sides of the Atlantic for an independent investigation.

....what I said all along, Saakashvili is a goner now!

Real Estate / Poland Property Boom Spills Over to Poorer Neighbouring Country - GERMANY [39]

"Stronger values" because some estate in East Germany was bought by Poles???

What about the centuries of german "Drang nach Osten", polish partitition etc...stronger "german values" then too???

Funny guy! :)

PS:

"The properties on offer are nothing less than giveaways, even if they need a little investment," said Magdalena Pysz, a Polish estate agent.

"Poles love the Prussian order, the cleanliness, the lack of corruption and the neat, cobbled streets."
