Life / Polish dentists - good and cheap? [84]

most posters on here have convinced me that I'll be doing the right thing by getting my veneers in Poland

good decision, i can assure you you will save a lot of money. last time i saved £££s (had 2 teeth needing root canals done, which i was told would cost me about a grand in UK. i paid a fraction of that) most, if not all private Polish dentists will speak English and know the English vocabulary for all the dental treatments etc. my dentist has not only Polish, but British certificates too, many dentists in Poland go and get more qualifications abroad and have the best equipment there is!

she is in England and is not in Poland at all

did i not say i had my tooth done there in February? not 20 years ago like you, but in February this year. im not defending my homeland 'doggedly', im just saying dentists are much cheaper there and the standard and quality is the same as in uk. It looks like you think you are always right because youre so old. but youre not right, your advice is out-dated and if you wanna do a favour to people on this forum asking about Poland and whats it like - keep you mouth shut because your information is not useful.

must be only true in your case because it is a standard procedure to have an injection prior to any treatment that will involve pain. whilst having my root canals done in February this year, i would get one injection after another until i said it didnt hurt anymore and they could carry on. i dont know (and dont really care) where did you go and how many centuries ago, but you talk rubbish and nobody should listen to your out-dated advice. after all, what else should we expect from somebody who uses archaisms in their everyday language? crawl back to your rocking chair old man and leave your ranting for the grand kids.

Life / Andrzejki 29/30 November!! [3]

Hi, since it's Andrzejki (and moje imieniny ;) in a couple of days, i was curious whether any of you guys are celebrating it and organising parties with all these "magic" spells and ways to predict your future? I remember at school we used to make big cardboard hearts with names of boys or girls on them and you had to poke it through with a needle from the other side. Whoever you 'poked through', you were going to marry. Or putting cards with names of your crushes under your pillow on the night of 29th Nov and drawing one out in the morning... And of course pouring wax through the key :). Any other special Andrzejkowe wróżby you know??

exactly, and that means you dont use it anymore and its not correct. you can find it in poetry and literature, but it is not used in everyday language and the teacher at school will tell you it's wrong. you are so stubborn. are you 150 years old michal?

Love / Polish men rules!!!! Love at first sight?, Is it possible? [16]

that's what i was going to say when i saw the topic of this thread! to me loving somebody is knowing them and loving the person they are, with all the good things and bad things about them. saying you love somebody only because you looked at them or had a chat is silly, because they are just a random person and probably if you got to know them you wouldn't be so quick to tell them you love them! this feeling you have when you see/meet someone you like is attraction and lust. it would be actually more appropriate to say you want them. love grows from the moment you start seeing somebody and falling for them more and more every time you get together, until you know you wanna be with them no matter what :).

DuoBox if you have the chance to contact him, do so just so you know how he feels about it. Just make sure you dont tell him that you think you love him. He's a man, it makes them run very fast ha ha.

Poland is cheap so you can afford to get the best

that is exactly right, paying for the best private dental care in Poland in many cases will cost you less than going to a shi*ty NHS dentist who hates his job, plus you gotta queue for like 3 months as well. i have bad experience with NHS dentists in UK, if i had to get my teeth done id book the next flight to Poland!! ;)

"Nieakcentowana i niepoprzyimkowa forma "mię" jest przestarzała, spotykamy ją głównie w starszych tekstach:
Zdziwił mię tylko jeden szczegół. (M. Choromański, Zazdrość i medycyna)
Ciarki przeszły mię po grzbiecie. (W. Gombrowicz, Ferdydurke)
Dzbanek z półki - hyc na ziemię: "Ja nie gorszy! Poprośże mię!" (Julian Tuwim, Taniec)
W staropolszczyźnie "mię" mogło być używane po przyimku, dziś w takiej pozycji nie występuje."

the poles in britain pay very little tax, and the tax that they do pay gets rebated to them when they leave the country.

We should not pay to educate YOUR children.

yeah yeah, but you still pay and will do so why keep moaning? live with it, you cant do anything about it.

Yes definitely, get your teeth done in Poland it will save you money! Many private dentists here have all sorts of certificates and the newest technology so dont worry. I wouldnt recommend going to a Polish NHS dentist, because even though that is for free - queues are long, and the standard quite poor... I think you need to obtain this white little book (whats was it called, a książeczka zdrowia or something) to get on the Polish NHS too... Anyway, most definitely go private!
