News / Some Poles burning American flag [299]

Burning flags is so immature. What would Poland think if the US would burn a Polish flag? But haven't seen the US burn anyone's flag.

Yeah, sounds cool!! I'll let you know when it's ready, but in the meantime I'll play you something else, maybe a polonaise by a Polish composer, Ogiński, famous for his "farewell to his country"

UK, Ireland / Getting married to a Polish Citizen in the UK [371]

Milena, you can get married in Poland but you need an OK from the Polish courts to accept a foreign marriage and that will take a few months.

And even if you get married in Poland, does not mean he will get a visa to the US. You will have to file a petition for a spousal visa and that takes 6-9 months, or longer.

I filed a fiance visa for my Polish boyfriend and he got it after 5 months.
The quickest way is If he could get a tourist visa and if you marry him before it expires, it is not illegal.

Somebody (sedzia) doesn't like Americans....Somebody (sedzia) forgot that most Americans came from Europe.
Except the Native American Indians.

To get a Polish passport you have to be a Polish citizen first. You cannot get Polish citizenship while living in the US.
You can get a Polish passport in the Polish Embassy in the US but it takes about 6 months, and that's only if you are a Polish citizen, it would be quicker to get it in Poland.

its that posible

Sure it is. Depending what country you're from, if you want to get married in Poland you need to get an agreement from the Polish Court for a foreigner to marry a Polish citizen.

Stay in Poland married for 3 years and get citizenship.

1. Does she have a US driver's license?
2. Does she have any kind of US ID?
Because that's all you need when you cross the border.
Probably the best for you is go to Las Vegas and get married. License costs $55.00, takes 20 minutes, you can have a cheap wedding with no waiting period and once you're married take her with you to Canada. You show the border patrol your wedding license, that she's your wife, who doesn't have any other form of ID with her and you'll be fine.

Best if you cross in Sault St. Marie in Michigan or North Dakota because they don't check the ID's so much. Don't go through New York. They are more thorough there.

I also got several other ideas. Contact me via e-mail.

1.They feel there is no future for them in Poland and they have a chance to travel
2. Money. Usually these pakistani guys are rich. They won't need to work
3. Grass is greener on the other side
4. They like the "exotic" look
5. They had an argument with their parents and do it in spite.
6. They are tired of eating pierogi all the time. They want some curri.
7. They prefer guys with darker skin and hair
8. They get paid money to marry so they get citizenship
9. They're the ugly ones who nobody else wants
10. They got drugged up
