Boks, have you tried this search

reversephonenumbersearch.org/index2.htm

It appears from the drop down list to include Poland. No idea whether it will work or not though

Woops sorry boks. it is a subscription service not a free one.

Travel / Beware the peacocks at Lazienski Park in Warsaw [36]

His extreme fascination with ham sandwiches is also a point of interest.

Hmm. This is news to me. Let's hope that he doesn't (or does) have a John Bonham moment then!

UK, Ireland / Heavy drinking culture in the UK - is it still the same in Poland? [69]

Just read in the news today that one of the big drinks companies ( S & Miller?) who own Lech & Zywiec amongst others has reported a 330% increase in imports into the UK. The equivalent of 17.2 million pints were sold in pubs, supermarkets & off licenses in the UK last year. Even with the fact that at least 5% of this was the personal responsibility of my golfing partner that's a lot of beer. Conclusion - there are a lot of thirsty Poles and also a lot of Brits who like the stuff too.

Love / Foreigner's opinion about polish ladies [304]

you are just looking for some titillating chat to brighten up your dull life.

On the other hand it could be the equivalent of actors ' resting' - a sort of between relationships pass the time of day before the next trip sort of thing

Love / HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU LOVE IN A LIFETIME? Once, twice or many ... [70]

You can't put a number on this.

In my case I can Fisz. I have only ever been truly in love iwth one person.

can u explain me this '1'?:P

Yes I can. Once I met the true love of my life I realised that the feelings I had had for other girls before were not the same. This was and is the real deal !

Love / Why english men like polish women ? [126]

It's quite common for English blokes to buy a round or two of drinks, even for people they have just met. We're really quite friendly in that respect. It helps that drinks are cheaper in Poland (apart from some of outrageously expensive places in Warsaw). If they are buying drinks for local girls I guess there is another motive! I don't know why the Polish men would not buy drinks. Money? They are not on holiday or working abroad?

Love / Foreigner's opinion about polish ladies [304]

i wanna know ur positions, based on experience

Sorry this is a family Forum. I cannot reveal this information here.

Joking aside I can only offer my opinions on Polish women purely on a platonic basis since I was never chasing after them when in Warsaw. That's probably not relevant to your topic so I won't comment.

Hope you get lots of good responses though

Therefore I am smart for American, right?

No degrees of smartness based on nationality. But I'm sure you are very, very smart - period

USA, Canada / My personal (Polish) view on USA. [105]

Geez. I heard it was 25% with a passport. In my experience there is a huge difference in attitude and behaviour between Americans who have travelled and those who have not. I know this exists in any country but it just seems to be more obvious in Americans in my experience.

USA, Canada / My personal (Polish) view on USA. [105]

This is vaguely on topic. Can somebody tell me the perecentage of US citizens that have a passport? I heard a very high figure the other day and would like to hear whether it was true.

Life / Are shaved heads a bad idea in Poland? [36]

spend less time fannying about with their hair in the bathroom before the go out

I've still got hair but I can't get near any of the bloody bathrooms before I go out.

Ps I am an idiot so I guess this is anecdotal evidence for your theory

Love / Do Anglo-Polish relationships actually work long term ? [13]

Depends upon what you mean by long term. Bear in mind that for UK/Polish relationships it is only in the last three years or so since Poland's accession to the EU that many relationships could have started. Before that it was more limited. I know of three long term (10 years plus) Anglo Polish relationships that are as strong as ever and one of that gneration that failed.

History / Soviet war monuments in Poland - what to do about them? [133]

At the beginning of 2007 it was 6,3% (Russia in whole)

Thanks. I stand corrected (and also to Southern for correcting me). That has come down a lot since the 1990s.

So, we have a pretty good reserve for economy growth.

So you can come and buy up the rest of Chelsea and Mayfair heh?
(only joking)

1.000.000 i

It's estimated to be be between 750,000 & 800,000 since accession.

History / Soviet war monuments in Poland - what to do about them? [133]

and the unemployment in Moscow is 2% while in Poland it is 15%

Correct me If I am wrong but the official unemployment rate in Russia is around 15% so a comparison between Moscow and Poland is not a valid one. What is the unemployment rate in Warsaw?

As ever, unemployment rates do not reflect people working in the 'black economy'.

Life / Paperwork needed when moving to Poland... [9]

and can you give me some advice

Sorry romber I can't give you advice about permanent residency. In theory there should be no problems moving to another EU country. I can only point you at the British Embassy site for Poland. No doubt others will have more information for you. Sorry
