yes - it states clearly that the huge influx of immigrant students is having a sigficant impact on education in the uk - which is why i was a little suprised that you could state in such an assured manner that polish children, along with other immigrant children, were not harming british childrens education - i was also a little taken back that someone living neither in england or poland could have formed such a confident opinion

the fact that they drive a BM gives them the right to drive without respect and courtesy for other drivers.

good idea to re-phrase but it still raises an interesting issue -

is the fact they drive a volvo more likely to make them boring?

or

is the fact they are boring make them more likely to drive a volvo?

I have also noticed quite a lot of 4x4's being driven

very true

I suppose these are quite popular due to the harsh driving conditions in winter

and being more protected in an accident

i also didn't ask if you behaved terribly on the road just because you have a BM

thats what it read like... look -

are you one of the people who drive with aweful manners, just because you drive a BM?

its like asking if im incredibly boring just becasue i drive a volvo...

as an after thought ill add that i drive with confidence and assertion - i choose my path and i take it without dillydallying on the way - i also drive with respect and courtesy

Life / Cultural adaptation in Poland, which stages are you falling into? [11]

i have been thru all these stages in different countries - with some its been easier to move forward than others - poland was bl**dy difficult to get anywhere near acceptance when i first lived there, so was spain and italy

im sure i posted this list last year

the effect that overseas students have on uk education is an interesting one

my masters course had 43 students on it, of which 39 were chinese

without these students the course would not have run

but from my perspective, they were all young and without any professional experience - they contributed very little to the programme not only as a result of this but also becasue of cultrual differences

i expected and wanted a lot more peer input from a master level course and felt cheated as a result - i paid for this course and did not feel as though i got what i paid for
