think a man who invites you for a couple of beers is protecting himself. Well if the date will be bad he will not even remember, and next day when he wake up the belief that he is the macho will still be with him

But, these aren't dates to go party...most of the time :) As a semi- responsible adult I think that going for a coctail or 2 wouldn't be considered protecting myself.

Travel / Going to Poland solo/ Questions [12]

Welcome Rypos. I was welcomed everywhere I went. Most people will either be curious to talk to you, and others too shy to try out their english. Overall, you'll be accepted mostly everywhere. I don't think a job will be in your best interest unless you teach english privately, but let some other people that have worked there tell you....not too sure myself. I've mentioned working there while I was visiting and the people laughed and asked me why the hell I'd do that :) Good luck!

who are we hurting? nobody!! if i was in happy relationship i woulnt be away for 2 years in the first place.. and besides he is a very good ****!!!

You may not be, but he's breaking his trust with his wife. Think about it, if he's doing this to his current wife, what makes you think that he won't do it to you?

Yes they serve on pita. You can get it with tzatziki or ostra :) Personally I like the hot sauce because the GF can't stand the lingering garlic smell :)

When I get an invitation for a date, from polish guys it's always beer... ok sometimes coffee

That's mostly how I do things. It's a good way to get to know someone . Just sit and have a few drinks or a coffee. I'd exclude going to the cinema or sth that will take your attention away from that person.

I thought there were some links. Here to start...I'll look for an audio in the mean time...I saw one somewhere

ą - the nasal sound of the French word "on"
ć (or a "c" before an "i"- similar to the 'ch' in 'cheat', but without rounded lips
ę - the nasal sound in the French word "vin"
ł - an English "w" (!)
ń - "ny" like "onion"
ś (or an "s" before an "i") similar to "sh", but without rounded lips
ż -the last sound in "mirage" or the French "j"
ź - (or a "y" befor an "i") similar to the last sound in mirage or the French "j", but without rounded lips

ALSO NOTE,
y = the short "i" as in "big"
i = the "ee" in "feet"
ó - the "oo" sound in "fool" (the same sound as "u

It's a start. Maybe you'll meet someone that'll want to keep in touch. Yeah, there's the possibility of not meeting anyone, but you'll have a helluva good time anyway. Treat yourself to an extended weekend ...but bring a friend along :)
